what can i say its a drill from dewalt and I like it ,it works great no problems with it at all , long cord on it is a plus .

This item clearly shows a Hard Carrying Case. What I received was a cloth case. There is no description other than case included. They need to specify this!!!! Tired of this ****.

I ordered this for a Christmas gift for my dad. The drill arrived promptly. Sears has great shipping compared to the "smiley face" or the web based "jungle store." The picture shows a hard case. This is misleading. The drill came in a box with a black zipper bag to store it in. The reasoning behind this I understand (after a tool is used a while, the cord can get dirt and worn, and it is hard to easily place it in a hard plastic case, and then shut it,) but I am used to having a hard plastic case to store tools in, not a zipper bag. It makes it appear a little cheap. The trigger is where the variable speed is. Instead of having a dial, the more you pull the trigger the faster it goes. All in all it is a DeWALT, and DeWALT doesn't mess around in quality. It is a good drill, but a little misleading.

The 7 amp motor supplies ample power for this 3/8 drill.  The ratcheting keyless chuck makes it very convenient to use with various bits on a job.  The sale price makes it as reasonable as any major store.  You can feel the quality in the Dewalt drill the first time you use it.

I wish that this drill was 1/2 inch not 3/8, but it works for what i need it for.

I bought one of these for my father, a retired electrician who occasionally still takes jobs. At first, he loved this little drill. The only shortcomings he noticed in the beginning were the lack of a keyless chuck and the fact that the paddle-switch could be dangerous if you weren't paying close attention to what you were doing. In the end though, what became this drills downfall was the cheap construction inside the housing. After only a few jobs, a plastic component around the motor cracked, allowing the teeth to slip under strain. A DeWalt service shop charged... to fix this problem. The second hole it drilled after that caused the gears to give out. It was a great idea, but DeWalt needs to send this one back to the design board for more work... I wish now that I had spent the extra money on the bigger DeWalt right angle drill.

I purchased this drill for my husband. At times, a cordless drill just doesn't have the power needed for some projects and a corded drill is necessary - my husband burned out his last one and the Dewalt corded drill is the perfect replacement drill. It is powerful and you do not need to worry about the battery going dead during the project or having to wait for the battery to be recharged. The drill maintains its power throughout the drilling process - reverse and forward switch easily to allow for direction you need.

I recommend Dewalt products and this drill, as we have had to use a variety of brands as we have redone our kitchen and master bath - these products get the job done.

Strong drill. Priced well. Reliable! Being a corded tool, you don't have to worry about charging batteries and so you can work on and on and on.
