Irwin Makes the Best Vice Grip Pliers
This curved jaw is a big advancement in vice grip pliers. It really locks on to the bolt or nut and does slip.

pretty good so far!
These vice grips are smaller than I would normally want, but they are for an on-motorcycle toolkit so I have to consider size and weight. They seem very strong and solid.
