Great tool . Very smart design.
I bought this to remove the thrust washer off my Saito .91 engine. The washer has a very small grove for a puller to grab. The posi-lock 103 worked perfect. I see that some people complained that it didn't have enough power to do what they wanted. Posi-lock makes bigger models you just have to get the right size tool for the job! I love it.( :

Posi-Lock Gear Puller
The design of this gear puller is excellent, however it is very hard to achieve the necessary force to pull gears and bearings by only using hand force on the t-bar screw. I used this puller to remove a timing gear off an engine. I tried 3 other pullers with no success due to the limited space where the puller must grab the gear. The Posi-Lock worked, but my fingers were a bit sore after I was done because of the small t-bar used to turn the screw. I think this puller is best suited for small gears or bearing that are not pressed on with a lot of force. I would like to see Posi-Lock change the t-bar screw design to a bolt type that you can use a wrench or ratchet to turn it. Other than the t-bar design I was happy with this product.

#9-30163 Posi-Lock 2-Ton Gear Puller
A warning issued with the tool states that the tool is designed for only "hand-tightening-force". I am an ex-auto mechanic turned offshore oil worker, and I still have good strength in my hands. This tool will not develop the amount of force necessary to do much of anything by use of only hand force. I also noted that the "Ram-Screw" is a bit too short for some applications; it needs to be at least an inch or so longer. I think the design concept of the tool itself, is a good one. It's just not strong enough to be worth the almost 50 dollar price tag.
