The 3/8 in. Drill/Driver and 5 1/2 in. Circular Saw are essential pieces to any DIYers toolkit. The tools have a powerful motor driven by the 19.2-volt DieHard battery to provide the power for most drilling and driving needs. The 3/8 in. Drill/Drivers powerful variable speed motor (0-650 RPMs) allows lower speeds for starting holes and higher speeds for drilling needs. The 24 position clutch adjusts to permit bit to slip at various torque settings. Clutch locks for drilling applications. The keyless 3/8 in. chuck provides quick and simple bit changes. A level is located on the rear of the motor housing to help keep the drill bit level during use. Its built-in bit storage on the drill/driver provides an easily accessible drill bit to change as needed. The reversible function allows you to back out stuck bits or screws. The 5 1/2 in. Trim Saw is a lightweight, compact trim saw with a motor that runs at 4,500 rpm no load for quick cutting. Its 5-1/2-inch carbide blade has a cut capacity of 1-9/16-inch at 0 and 1 1/18-in. at 45 and the angle cuts are made easy with the 50 degree bevel capability. Includes: 19.2-Volt DieHard® Ni-Cd Battery Pack, Charger, Double Ended Screwdriver Bit, 5-1/2-in. Circular Saw Blade and Edge Guide. The DieHard battery can be used with all Craftsman C3 tools.

    Craftsman cordless drill and circular saw is a powerhouse set. November 04, 2011

    I am very impressed with my Craftsman Cordless Drill and Circular Saw Set. They are compact and have good power that can drill and cut through a variety of woods. The Craftsman name to me means quality. I purchased the extended warranty, just in case something came up with the drill. I would say the drill has one major drawback, however. It didn't come with a spare battery and that was a dissappointment to me since the battery life is not very long. Then I have to stop my job, charge my battery and then get back to work. So...I will end up purchasing ANOTHER battery. I really think that Sears should include an additional battery with this set or not inclue the saw but the additional battery instead.

    Great Saw, Under Powered Driver November 23, 2011

    The trim saw is great!  With a fresh battery it will easily cut 2x material and of course plywod and smaller dimensioned finish material.  The saw also comes with a rip guide attachment which is very useful when making long narrow cuts.

    I bought this combo because I was in the market for a second drill/driver.  I wanted something smaller and lighter than the large and fabulous Craftman driver I bought nine years ago (and still going strong).  I saw this combo on sale and thought "cool", the price ($80) is right and I get a cordless saw.  The other selling point is the battery size is compatible with my other Craftman driver.

    The drill/driver is under powered. I really do not expect it last very long unless you make sure to use it for light duty stuff.  It did come in handy as a second driver while I was hanging cabinets.  I used the one in this combo to drill pilot holes and my other heavier driver for the screws.  Given that the battery costs about $35, you pay $45 for the saw and get the drill for free.

    Not a bad deal for $80 dollars especially if you own another 19.2v craftman tool.

    I have both Items and both work great for short periods of time. More for light duty jobs. Great for home use.

    This is a quality drill, I'm happy with the purchase and I'd buy another.

    I would have given this drill 5 stars if it has a charger that would act as a "base" rather then the small charger that it comes with.  I've also found that it would be handy to have dual speeds rather than a single vairiable speed.

    Overall the product is a great economic choice and I would recommend this to a friend.  The ballance and feel "In Hand" is great, the power/size ratio is good, and the level bubble on the back is handy too.

    I've only used the saw for two cuts and it worked nicely.

    Well designed easy to use quality tools, no doubt. The initial charge however, did not seem to last. In fairness though, I did not let the battery charge 'overnight' either. (my-bad) I'm sure the battery time will improve with a long charge cycle and if not, I know Sear's will stand behind it.

    So far the saw has been more than expected.The drill,I have had one of those before,so I knew what to expect(it is great as well).I have to saw though,an extra battery would have been nice,the batteries are a little pricey.
