      This is a very nice set of sockets March 10, 2010

      I recently spent a Christmas gift card to pay for most of this tool set.  I opted to go for the red drawer set just so I could have a more complete set of wrenches. I read many reviews about the box being cheap and flimsy....and i have to agree. It probably would not travel well and you need to lift it from the side handles and not the lid handle. Mine will be stationary 98% of the time as it is more a spare set that I keep in my shed across the road. So for me it is perfect.

      Only a good deal if on sale @ $169 December 31, 2008

      The tool set has all the right tools but the ratchets are cheaply made. Two of the three ratchets did not work right out of the box and needed to be exchanged. I have an older 1/2 inch ratchet from 35 years ago that still works perfect and is of much higher quality then the ones made today. I'll sell the new ones and get older 3/8 and 1/4 . The sockets and wrenches are high quality for not being full polished. In conclusion only buy this for the sockets, wrenches and other tools and plan on replacing the ratchets.

      We love the tools inside but the case could have a better design. We bought it to keep in the trunk and the drawers were always coming open. We lost most of the small sockets down in the tire holder. Just a locking pole or something is needed. But of course the tools are great.

      I keep most of my automotive tools at the shop so I needed some weekend warrior tools for around the house. Pick these up on black friday for a heck of a deal. For the most part it has what I need for most odd end jobs and then some. The case is not that great although. Drawers are very stiff to pull out and make sure the side looks are closed before you pick up the case or tools go everywhere.
