    Great tool set for beginners. October 02, 2010

    I bought this for my husband since he did not have a proper tool set.   This turned out to be a great gift as well as a beginner tool set.  It comes with three wrenches, in many sizes.  It has come in handy for myself as well.  I used it when I changed the oil in my car and when I replaced the engine belts.

    At $99 this is a great deal, and it s nice to have a case to hold each piece in its own location. However, there are too many sockets (there are seven (!) 1/2" sockets) and not enough wrenches (15 mm and 9/16" maximum size). There is only one, short 3/8" socket extension for the whole set. I would have reduced the number of redundant sockets, and added more larger wrenches, socket extensions, and miscellaneous adapters.

    The 204 pc mechanics tool set is a well rounded set to keep with you wether you're at home or on the go. I love the quality, durability and affordability of craftsman tools!

    This tool set is well worth what you will pay for it, however, it should only be expected to be useful on a smaller scale. If you are looking to have a broader range of tools, particulary sockets for a 1/2 inch drive you may want to consider another tool set. This tool set comes with a molded case, but I do not feel that it is organized very well.
