    Good value, but some sockets can come loose on the clips. March 12, 2010

    So I bought these about eight years ago, when I turned 18, and they were only 2.99 for each two pack.  So I bought a pack for each size, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2.  They are a great bargain and since they are metal they don't break very easy, but they tend to have clips that won't hold some of the sockets and it can get rather annoying when you go to pick up the socket rack and one falls off and under the car.  I still really like them though because they have held up well over the years and they do keep everything together much better than a bag or box with them scattered inside.  So if you can get them on sale grab them because they can be quite useful.

    Craftsman 2 pc. Socket Rack is difficult to put sockets on January 17, 2011

    These socket racks might be good if you just owned one or two sets. But if you own a lot of sockets (any of the craftsman mechanics tool sets), these wouldnt do you much good. The main problem is the sockets are difficult to put on, and who would want to take on that sort of trouble for any large amount of sockets. I would recommend going with some of the magnetic racks if you own just a couple socket sets. They do cost more, but they are definitely worth it. Or if you own a bunch, go with one of the socket tray sets.

    The first use required I put the sockets on with a mallet since the springs were too stiff or they were not sized correctly.

    These are the best alternative to constantly trying to locate the socket you need that is always the"last one" that you pick out.They are the least expensive of the organizational options for sockets that I was looking for,and store nicely away.
