    Price/quality December 26, 2010

    Bought these for my husband. He is very satisfied. Being a die hard craftsman man I was not sure if he would be ok with a non craftsman product. I was pleasantly surprised when his eyes lit up. He had looked at the craftsman set comparable to this set and was worried about the price but the price was 20 dollars cheaper and the quality so far seems just as good! Cant check lasts forever yet but will keep you posted.

    Automatically Reversing Wrenches June 09, 2009

    Do not buy these reversible ratcheting wrenches from Gear Wrench. While using them, I've found that some of the wrenches automatically switch over to the opposite direction that you want to go. It is really frustrating when you are in a hurry to get a job done. I'm a Commercial Aviation Mechanic that has been in the industry for about 22 years. I've used many tools over the years. These wrenches look good, but the performance is not what they should be. Gear Wrench definately did not do enough testing before releasing these wrenches. It is a real shame, for they could have been a really useful tool. Unfortunately, I purchased these wrenches and had them sitting around the house before I actually brought them into work for a trial. Now it has been well over 60 days since I've purchased them. It is well past the return period of 30 days, and I'm stuck with them. My fault. My next purchase will be the Craftsman version of these wrenches. Hopefully I'll have better luck.

    I caught Sears?s online sale and picked up the wrench Set. I needed them, as I had junk tools and now in building up my tools with Craftsman. I went with Craftsman tools as it was a balance from price, made in the USA and the guarantee as other tools, such as Snap-on, Matco or others will leave you in owning them in debt forever with the prices they charge; I purchased mine at 39.99 verses other competitors and a much higher price. Again it?s the balance from price, quality, and the guarantee. Great product for the price and value, I would recommend this to family and friends. I didnt see that Craftsman makes these types also, for some reason I thought this was craftsman......But its gearwrench....at the time I purchased them.

    Had 8 sizes vs. most other sets with 7 e.g. Kobalt or Craftsman.  Wandte dto try a set and these were on sale.  Use them for getting into tight spots on vintage car and so far they have performed as designed at torque needed

    Big end on ratchet side

    Awesome wrench the only negative about these wrenches is that they have a large end on the side with the ratchetting part. With the large end it sometimes doesnt fit where you need them to and you have to use a regular non ratchetting wrench. Other than the size they are a great set and i would highly reccomend them.
