Craftsman  6 in. Extension Bar, 1/2 in. Drive

This is going into my trunk, with my Schwaben Torque Wrench and Schwaben Comfort Socket set, for tire changes! I have to admit, with 5-star ratings, and 'lifetime warranty', Schwaben, the European equivalent to Craftsman brand, is synonymous with dealer/workshop quality hand tools, so I am a happy, prepared Audi driver. I've grown up with Craftsman hand tools, and have not seen the added value for the added cost of the direct sales mechanic's brand tools! With a lifetime warranty, and thousands of stores nationwide, it's hard to beat replacing a defective or broken Craftsman tool, when time is of the essence (isn't it always?)

Perfect length for the job. Excellent strength.

The square female part that connects onto a ratchet was not made deep enough to go onto my Craftsman 1/2" drive ratchet. I will take it back to trade for another that hopefully works. Obviously, no inspection at the plant that makes the part.

It is a simple socket extension. It is well made and carries a lifetime warranty. I like craftsman tools for the quality and warranty value.

I purchased this to add to the Craftsman 309 piece set and it was a great addition. The tool has already been put to the test working on a Jeep, Ford F-350 and Chevy Silverado. This is a must have for those without a lift. I would recommend any person who works on autos, farm equipment or anything else that moves to get a 3" and 6" extensions. I am glad I added this to the tools.

I spend a great deal of my spare time in the garage. Together with my son, Nathan (age 27) we buy and restore 1980 era Porsches. Nathan is the real mechanic in the family. I pretty much offer moral support and fetch tools.

Most people would tell you that these import cars are a nightmare to work on. We haven't found that to be the case. The mechanical design of these high-performance vehicles is pretty straight-forward. That is a hallmark of the German craftsman and engineers that have developed them. It is true, however that these engineers are extremely efficient with their use of space under the hood. Large engine, small chassis and very light-weight create an environment that is sometime complicated to work in.

We have learned that the best way to deal with this challenge is to own a complete collection socket accessories. Through the use of various extension bars, adapters and universal joints we can replicate the wrench configuration that was originally used to assemble the vehicle. Craftsman calls these tools accessories! I don't think that's right! The term accessary, to me, implies that it is a "nice extra" but not really necessary.

Take it from me, if you are going to perform much mechanical work on a 1983 Porsche 944, a complete set of socket accessories is NOT optional.

The extensions works great with all craftsman sockets and does not have very much torsional bend, so it is great with torque wrenchs.

This has been one of those sweet finds to complement my socket set.

Many times I have gone to tighten or loosen bolts, nuts, sparkplugs and the like and needed just a little  more room to manuvuer and this 6 inch bar solved the problem. This 6 ich bar is the perfect addition for a little more distance yet is not so long that it creates a wobble effect. It is easy to keep in line and on track so you can concentrate on cranking with it. It is strong and well built for a lifetime and fits easily with most kits. This short bar has saved my knuckles more times than I can tell you. Sockets attach and come off easily and quickly.

the craftsman brand is great ease of use  and the best part they are replaceable due to breakage My husband loves them. I even have a craftsman tool tote that i use for my knitting projects  I can put several projects in it to knit from.

The Craftsman 6 in., 1/2 in. drive extension bar is great for saving your knuckles.  Works great for all of those hard to reach areas.
