Great Product, East to Use! May 04, 2011

I love this product. I bought it when it was on sale and I think it was a steal! There's no way you could get any better deal on a quality Craftsman torque wrench like this. I do a lot of small engine repair and I love using this to take all my head bolts down to the right spec. It is exactly what I was looking for when I was looking around at the different options that Sears had for torque wrenches!

I would recommend this product to anyone!

Craftsman Microtork Wrench BROKE absurdly quickly. April 28, 2011

I am incredibly disappointed in this product. I bought it two weeks ago, used it maybe six or seven times, and already it has broken -- the plastic lock collar cracked right through as I was turning it to the lock position. I was not putting any undo force on it, and did not feel any significant resistance as it moved -- no more than I had felt when locking it previous times. It is now unusable, as the handle is permanantly unlocked.

Honestly, it's the fact that it broke so easily that stuns me. I understand that occasionally tools are made incorrectly, but even if that is the case here I am disappointed in the lack of quality control. I will not buy a Craftsman torque wrench again, unless they start using something more durable than plastic.

Nice Torque Wrench, Good Value May 03, 2012
    via Community Review
    By BobberBill of Glendale, CA

I bought this torque wrench on sale for $39.99 I believe. It has served me well in the last couple years that I've had it. It's easy to set the desired torque once you figure out how to do it. The ratcheting action is really nice, so you don't have to switch tools. Also, you'll always hit your mark since it clicks when the desired torque setting is reached. It's hard to do that with a traditional torque wrench sometimes when you're wrenching in weird positions or small spaces.

Craftsman Microtork Torque Wrench March 07, 2012
    via Community Review
    By PresidioCurt of Terrytown, Louisiana

True to Craftsman?s reputation, this torque wrench works well. It is the 'click' type torque wrench. The instructions say you may not hear the 'click' at low torques, just a slight release. I needed just 12 foot-pounds of torque for my first use. It worked perfectly for me, the 'click' was audible, and the release was easy to identify. The only negative: It was a 3/8" drive and I wanted a low torque wrench with a 1/2" drive, which Sears didn't have...
