I am very pleased with my purchase of tools and washing machine. I have used sears for many years with my father buying from sears when i was young and now me.

You really can't beat these, they are tuff, work great and are proven to last. They are a little bit pricier than Craftsman's adjustable pliers so check those out too........ I have several pairs of both and like both, and haven't had an issue with either of them.

When I first got into my trade (Electrician) I bought a craftsman set of gooseneck pliers, thought that craftsman would be the best but I used these pliers to screw rigid pipe into the cuppling and couldnt get a good grip on the pipe and thought the teeth were dull. I did some research and tried different kinds of pliers until I came upon channelocks, they have better handles to grip (IMO) and have sharper teeth to better grip whatever you are gripping. So overall I would recomend channelock pliers over craftsman, very few things if any I would use over craftsman tools but this is one tool that is overall a better tool (as far as gooseneck pliers go)

These channellocks are for my husbands job and he needed them because his was taken but they are the best made product out there. Those others are cheap and don't last long. I know I bought a different make and teh teeth wore off quick and the rivet came out on the handle. I would recommend these to anyone.

In the past of my youth the only adjustable tool was a monkey wrench. They often slipped or came out of size and ruined your bolt head. Then the Channellock pliers appeared to end all that.

These are one of the coolest tool inventions to be designed. In the past you might have to carry fifteen wrenches and pliers to do what one Channellock will now do. Channellocks are adjustable and lock in place then at each size width. In addition the jaws then have a variable width to them for double adjustability.

Channellocks have a 1/4 moon shaped grooves inside the jaws. Each of these grooves is another set of diameters that the clamp ends will adjust out to. Thusly a big channellock may grab and bite something from a paper clip diameter to six inches across ending the prior need for a whole set of carry tools.

The Channellocks come in sizes from small pliers that fit in your pocket to some that are as big as a hammer giving you a wide range of help. This particular set is ideal. This is one set of pliers that you will actually use and be proud to own.

My father-in-law gifted me this set of pliers this past Christmas and I have been very pleased with using these pliers.  I also own the Craftsman equivalent so I can honestly say that I interchange using each brand depending on whichever set of pliers I grab first.  If I were to recommend a set of pliers based on my experience, I can honestly say that you would do well to purchase either set of pliers.  However, I have not had to return a set yet, so I don't know how the return policy for Channellock works, but I do know that the Craftsman return policy is very nice.
