Laser Trac combo works great February 22, 2009
I bought the combo pack just for the laser level. Just put it on a tripod, level the tripod, and you can have vertical or horizontal lines displayed on your walls for whatever reason. WHAT... AA batteries don't fit? You must have been using some of those rare extra long AA batteries...LOL

BUY A DIFFERENT LASER LEVEL, NOT THE ONE FROM CRAFTSMAN. October 22, 2009
I BOUGHT THE 4-N-1 CRAFTSMAN LASER LEVEL, FROM THE LOCAL SEARS STORE AND PUT IT AWAY, UNTIL I NEEDED IT FOR A REMODELING PROJECT. THEN FOUND THE LEVELING BUBBLE DRY AND THE LEVEL LINE OFF SEVERAL DEGREES. SEARS WOULD NOT TAKE BACK. NOW I HAVE A DEFECTED CRAFTSMAN LASER LEVEL, THAT PUTS OUT A RED LINE THAT ISN'T LEVEL. THANK TWICE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND THEN LOOK AT OTHER BRANDS TO BUY. CRAFTSMAN WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS PRODUCT, ONCE YOU BUY IT.

Laser Combo Kit disappointment December 28, 2011

Cons:
cheap constructionAt first this product worked well. After a few uses its cheap materials and construction became evident. The battery compartment cover and switch became loose and now I have to strap a penny to the switch with tape to keep the laser on. I would not recommend this to a friend. It was money not well spent.

As most of the other reviews the levels are dry and serve no purpose. Pathetic of a US company that is supposed have a good reputation for tools and yet they do not stand behind their product. However I guess the tag does say "Made in China"

I bought this device at my local Sears store for a remodeling project. I put it away until today 7/09 and brought it out for another project only to find that the leveling bubbles had dried up. I thought Craftsman would stand by it's tool, but no they wouldn't. I buy many Craftsman tools but I'd think twice before buying another such product from Craftsman now.
