Got this to lift my Dyna, had to buy the adapters for it to work and I can say that it works well. It is not as steady as some of the more expensive jacks, but it does the job well. Also you have to watch out for the kickstand as the jack sits on it, no way I have found around that one. If you are looking for a good motorcycle jack at the right price, this is the one. I have had mine for 2 years, done tire maintenance, primary work, oil changes...and some other things with it, in addition to storing it jacked up for the past 2 years without an issue.

The jack is very light weight and easy to move around to position under the motorcycle. The jack is not as stable side to side as another jack I used. The bike acts like it wants to bounce off the jack. I'm sure this is due to the narrow width of the jack. Not real study for a heavy bike.

This jack was bought for use on a fairly heavy cruiser and works very well. The bike has to be upright (off the kickstand) to get the jack fully under it, but is easy to operate and feels very steady even with the bike at the highest extension. When letting the bike down it is easy to control the descent to let it down slowly.Very nice addition to my bike garage.
I have had mine for a couple of years now with no issues. I have an 800 pound bike and if you center the jack carefully, I had no problems. I have pulled the rear and front wheel, removed the forks, built and installed custom saddlebags and fairing, engine work and wiring. If you have some comon sense, you can work with this jack. Consider when you remove the rear wheel, then the suddon weight loss off the rear of the bike will make the front heavy. Just consider your jack position before lifting the bike. I slightly lifted the bike, removed the rear wheel axle and jacked the bike up off the wheel while watching the jack position before lifting the bike up high
Releasing the jack has a technique also. Start by not over tightening the jack in the first place. To lower the bike, you must lift the bike a little bit to allow releasing the safety lock. Then when you want to twist the handle to lower the bike, you don't just twist firmly until it releases and drops too quickly. It must be controlled. Try applying a light twist pressure to the handle and sortof wiggle the handle at the same time. It takes very little wiggle to do the job and you can more easily feel for that release point and then control the drop. Most people grab and twist, and the release point is sudden. There is frictions and that star sprocket gear drive at the point where the handle enters the main jack that can be precarious and diffacult to feel the release point. Consider a funky door lock. I would apply some twist pressure to the key, and then jiggle the key up and down and you will find that sweet spot to release the lock. That is similar to the jack handle. Never a leak and I left it on the jack 6 months. I don't know if I would put my full dress harley though. I thought it was stable considering how narrow the jack is in relation to the length of a heavy bike. Of course it can sway if you push too hard. Use common sense. Hope this helps.
I was hesitant about purchasing this item after reading some of the reviews. That and my experience has, until recently, only been with sport bikes; basically motorcycles that only weigh ~400 lbs with a full tank.
I recently purchased a 2009 HD Softtail and wanted a 'professional' way to get the bike propped upright and elevated when I work on it. This jack works beautifully for the job. Low enough to slide under the frame and smooth enough to operate by one person (no one else needed to steady the bike).
The staged elevation locks work nicely and the included straps, while not seemingly very sturdy, are plenty strong for the job.
The frame is an attractive shop design, lightweight and 'thick', meaning it isn't a chintzy affair.
While I agree that 360 degree capable wheels on the front would be nice, I can only imagine that additional strengthening of the front frame would be required...but I am no engineer, so I cannot say for certain.
I would not hesitate to recommend this jack to anyone.
