Empire pipe cutter #2831

After reading the other review and appreciating their warning of the 2 different blades, I picked this pipe cutter up at a local Sears and switched blades. This cutter easily cut through 3/4" black iron pipe in a few minutes. I'll be trying it out on 2" (ID) iron pipe in the future. My father is going to use the other blade for pvc. This is a great cutter and well worth the price! Thank you!

This is a great cutter, It comes with two blades, one is for steel tubing and one is for PVC pipe, the blades are NOT marked so if you cut steel with the blade that comes installed in the cutter, you will ruin the blade, the one that is installed is for PVC pipe. BEWARE before cutting, the packaging does not indicate which blade is for what use.

Excellent cutter and affordable
Have owned mine for almost two years now and use it almost daily and has yet to fail me. Mostly cutting aluminum, EMT, and PVC. The stock wheel will not cut Stainless Steel, if you try it you will just destroy the cuttin wheel.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
