Craftsman Ratcheting Tube and Pipe Cutter December 19, 2011

Based on the recommendation of other CC members I grabbed one of these the other day for some work I was doing in the garage. I recently added a large air compressor and a retractable hose reel and I had a temporary hose between the two and finally got around to adding a copper pipe in the middle.
I bought the pipe and started cutting away. Yes, it is a brand new tool and one expects it to cut fast and clean but I never expected I wouldn't actually have to ream the cuts (though I did) since they were so clean!

Pros:
noneI bought a pair of these about a year ago and they break every time I use them. I take them back and they replace them. Great idea but they are not built well. The feed screw strips out after the first use.

This ratcheting cutter makes quick work of cutting through pipes. I used it to cut copper sweat pipe for installing bathroom plumbing and it cut all the pipe without leaving any burrs on the end.
