Craftsman  Keyless Entry Pad Security+®

I started with confirming the correct pad for my opener which is about 10 years old. Lucky to have the premium control console for the opener so enabling the keypad went exactly as the surprisingly clear instructions said. All other remotes still worked. Mounting was simple. Here's a $ heads up...I ordered from sears.com with free delivery to the store (easy pickup) and saved about $13 over buying from PartsDirect.

My keypad wasn't working on my Craftsman garage door opener purchased in 1998. I stopped in a Sears to see if they had one and let the salesperons pick it out even though I recognized it the moment I saw it. The other 2 in stock had rounder covers. My buttons are blue and I do have a orange button on the back of my machine. I presesed the learn button on the back of my machine before I pulled my car in and typed in the old code on the new keyapd and it was working. The salesperson told me how to do this and it was in the instructions too. I was able to remove the old one and install the new one with the 2 provided screws in the dark in zero degree weather. I depend on that keypad to get in the house if I should ever accidenly lock myself out and I am so happy I don't have to buy a new garage door opener! I don't go to Sears often because I'm not a big mall shopper but I was very happy with my shopping experience.

I purchased my keyless entry pad a couple of months ago because my brother recommended it.  When I purchased it I thought it would maybe be just another thing that I would not get any use for.  It has been the best thing I could have purchased.  I was outside my house thinking I had left my door unlocked and guess what I had locked it by mistake.  Without my keyless entry pad I would have had to call a locksmith to get into my home.  This has been the best $39 I have ever spent, now I have the peace of mind knowing that I will not lock myself out again.  I would recommend investing in one and knowing you have a way to gain entry into your home.  Thank you Sears for making such good quality merchandise.

I just picked up this unit today after a couple of years in our house...I dont how we lived without it!  It is so convient to just punch in your code and viola, you have access into your house.  One feature I really love is the ability to allow a temporary code for a set number of uses or time period...pure genius.  Installation was a breeze and the fit and finish are superb.  I highly recommend this addition to your garage setup if you are considering it!

I originally ordered the unit online to be picked up at the store here in Decatur. After several days I was informed that it was not available for store pickup. I then ordered it online from Craftsman.com to be delivered to my home. When it came I found that it was not compatable with my garage door unit. Unfortunately the online information did not tell me there were two different units and you needed to know what color memory button your door opener had. I took the unit to the store here in Decatur and a very nice lady there exchanged it for me and it is now installed and working fine. I suggest that Sears make sure the online information is sufficient to allow a customer to order the proper unit.

This was a replacement for an older version of the same product  which stopped working after many years. It worked instantly as soon as I programmed it. VERY easy to program and comes with a battery.  BE SURE to get the correct model and frequency. My garage door opener is a Craftsman and is at least 16 years old. I showed the old one to the salesman at sears and he picked out the correct one, which was a matter of looking at the model number on the package and the back of the old unit. All in all, success in 5 min or less.

I purchased this item to replace a unit that was attached to the outside wall of my garage door for about 10 years. It worked exactly as advertised and was an exact replacement for the previous unit. I hope this one lasts another 10 years. I appreciate that Sears continues to make replacement parts available for older units. Not many other stores do this.

Good product but no temporary code setting like some other opener pads. Make sure you have the right key pad for the color code of your opener. Very confusing.

This was a replacement for a 10-year old unit that had bad keys. If you don't know the stock number, selecting the proper one is confusing. Sears goes by the color of your remote buttons and the color and shape of the Smart Button on the powerhead. Don't believe it. The package of this keyless entry unit says it works with systems that have blue keys on the remotes and an orange square Smart Button. However, my system has gray remote keys and a red square Smart Button. Fortunately, I saved the manual that came with the old one and just matched up the stock numbers. I'd recommend you do the same - ignore the colors and shapes of the buttons and just go by the stock numbers.
