The Clicker universal garage door opener remote is user friendly July 25, 2010
The clicker universal garage door opener remote is simple to program and use. It has a sleek design, is light weight, and conveniently clips onto my car mirror. I bought two, one to replace an old remote and another to add and extra for another family member. We have only been using it for two months but have had no issues with them thus far.

Horrible range March 10, 2009
While this remote is reliable in that it works every time, the range on it is horrendous. I sometimes can't get my garage door to close while I am still in the driveway - and my driveway is only about as long as a large SUV! As a result, I'm getting a remote with more range and relegating this one to motorcycle duty. In its new role, I may actually appreciate the remote instead of wanting to bash it with a baseball bat.

good rangeI have always had cars that had built-in garage door openers. I recently bought a truck that didn't. I ran down to Sears and picked this unit up, and even though I was a little confused because I tried to configure it without the instructions in my hand, it was working in 15 minutes! Had I paid better attention to the directions it would have been less than 5 minutes.

A year ago, we needed two additional remotes for one of our garage door openers and decided to purchase them from a company that came out to the house and program them for us. They charged $60 for each remote. This year we needed two additional remotes for the other garage door and not wanting to spend another $120, we decided to try these universal remotes ourselves. Although we are not "tech-savvy", we found them easy to program and in no time, for $35 each, the job was accomplished and we had our additional remotes! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs an extra remote for their garage door. Note: You do have to check the type of door opener you already have (the model number) because "universal" does not mean every type of opener. There are different types of "universal". You will probably need to take the cover off your current remote to see what type it is, before purchasing your universal remote.
