Easy to setup and very quiet May 04, 2011
Setup can be completed one person for most procedures, however there will be a few instances where a partner will be needed. The directions were thorough and accurate. The wireless keypad has already been helpful and by far the easiest item to install! The only con would be the opening / closing speed, however works incredibly well with our old, heavy, 7' double door. Would certainly recommend to others.

The Garage Door Opener was super quiet, but the range was poor.. March 16, 2011
I've had this garage door installed for about four months, replacing a 20 year old sears model that finally died (unfortunately). From the get go I couldn't believe how quiet this new opener was, it was easily 80% more quiet then my previous chain drive opener.
I did have one issue about a week after purchasing the opener, the door closed too tight and bound the motor, I had to slip the belt off to fee it in order to get the door open and re-adjust the open/close adjustment.
Additionally the range on this opener is only about 10' the other side of my closed garage door (with a aluminum insulated door). I've been told by a Sears repair man this is by design in compliance with FAA requirements (???).

Pros:
Extremely Quiet,digital time/temp displaytook me 20+ hours to install, because of small structural mods I had to make and because the manual, though carefully written, is lacking certain pieces to make a rounded "understanding" possible. You understand only after you have done it (and redone it).
But having a 25+ old door in a 40+ old garage, I'm glad I got the rolls-rois of quiet and powerful motors. Controller works ok (screw the controller wiring in hard).
My main criticism is the manual, including lack of explanation of diagnostics for each device to assure you that each piece works.
Battery backup works well, even right out of the box. That will be a peace of mind!
