Gladiator  24'' Wall GearBox

Very very happy with the cabinets. These are NOT the same cabinets sold at *****. Somebody gave me a warning that the ones at ***** are much different. I was looking to save some money but there is no comparison to the Gladiator brand from the box store. These are completely assembled from the box and look great. They are expensive to be sure but you get high quality, durability and a great look. I'm still adding piece here and there and the wall racks let me adjust the layout of the garage when I need to and everything still looks custom. Great stuff...

Perfect for putting on the gear wall and getting things off the floo.

I have purchased a number of the 24" and 30" gear boxes/cabinets, and have found them to be consistently sturdy, well made, and simple to mount to GearWall Panels and Gear Channels. Very minor defects (slight metal panel deformities) can be found in some, but I suspect this is as likely to have been caused by packaging and transportation as the actual manufacturing process. When used with the panels or channels, these products are extremely useful because of the flexibility of moving them to different locations as storage requirements dictate.

I bought 3 of these for my garage, no assembly at all. Just hang on the gear wall and you're ready to go. The door is kept closed by a magnetic strip that wasn't easy to find. Once you have this, and are not going to reverse the door, peel off the backing and attach to the SIDE of the door jamb. This will keep the door closed. No instructions on this, but not enough to fault the cabinet

This item came 100% assembled in the box. All I had to do was take it out of the box and hang it on my existing Geartrack. You can easily switch the hinge to the left side and move the magnetic latch. My item was in perfect condition and very well made.

I am installing several Gladiator components and just mounted a 24" premium cabinet, following the instructions to have 2 tracks, 18" apart. Upon mounting the cabinet, it is not level since the cabinet only has a mounting bracket on top. The top bracket creates a gap between the back of the cabinet and the face of the track and there is not a similar spacing on the bottom, so the cabinet tilts to the front. Upon contacting Gladiator, they say that they advise customers to mount a 1x4 board behind the cabinet at the bottom to avoid this problem - in other words, use a 1x4 at the bottom, not a GearTrack.

i'am a DIY stay-home dad, i do side jobs such as land scaping, carpentry, etc. i installed several type of wall cabinets in other people's garages, so i decided to fix my own garage, i bought 4 of these and hanged them side by side to each other, boy trust me it looked beautiful, the best wall cabinet i ever installed so far. i'm planning to buy 4 more for the other side wall of my garage, but they are not on SALE right now, but i can wait :) they were $80 less if it's on SALE. the only problem i had getting these is i have to visit several sears location since they don't stock that many in one store. you can order and have them all at once but i can't just wait. Overall is a great product.

I bought 2 of these on sale in addition to 2 other wall cabinets and 2 base cabinets. First of all the packing was excellent. Despite 2 boxes OBVIOUSLY being dropped on their corners, the contents were undamaged. All pieces came individually wrapped and labeled. Plently of Styrofoam around the perimeter of the box to protect the contents. All holes lined up for assembly, and all the hardware was present for every piece including a package of extra hardware. Assembly was easy thanks to every piece being labeled. I looked at other garage storage and it was all MDF. For all metal construction this was pretty much it. The only issue I have is that one of the drawer "bearing" races came apart and dropped 3 bearings out. It was so flimsy that I was able to get the bearings back in and pry the race back to where it was supposed to be. I don't know how well the slides will work and last over time. but I guess even considering that it is still nice stuff. The finish is study and durable and uniform in appearance. I was very satisfied with all the pieces I bought and would not hesitate to buy more.

I have been looking at the Gladiator garage storage line for a while now and just picked up two of the 24 in Wall GearBoxes. Both arrived with no damage which was a huge relief after reading some of the reviews! I did have to adjust the doors on both units up slightly as they rubbed at the bottom when closing, but this literally took one minute per cabinet. Over all great product!
