Better than the typical "Chinese junk". January 14, 2011
The cabinet is pretty good. There's only a couple things I found could be improved upon. First issue, the trim that the feet mount to is attached by only a few screws and bends easily. I would recommend welding this piece on instead of the few screws. It would be much more stable. Second issue is more of an improvement request than a problem. On the lower end model cabinets, there is a hole in the back for an electrical cable so a power strip could be mounted inside the cabinet for battery charges and such. This cabinet does not have that hole, but one can be easily drilled. Would that void the warranty though? I do not know.

Great cabinet if you can get it without damage August 15, 2009
If you can find one without damage, the Craftsman Professional Floor Cabinet is a good sturdy storage cabinet. I picked mine up today and inspected the carton for damage and saw none. Got it home and opened it up and was surprised to see that one side and bottom was damaged. I took it back hoping to get another one. The store only had the floor model (undamaged) and one more in storage that was damaged. So I asked for the floor model but was told they couldn't sell me that one. After a lengthy debate, the store manager finally made the exchange.
Sears merchandise and customer service is not what it used to be. Some of the other reviewers had experienced damage issue with the same cabinet. The packaging isn't sufficient to protect thje contents. I purchased a wall cabinet at the same time and its packaging was considerably sturdier.
I expect this may be my last shopping experieice with Sears

It comes mostly assembled but some leveling needs to be done. He had no problem with it at all. Will definitely recommend to anyone. He's already thinking about buying another one.

None really,bungie cords are cheapI have two of the floor cabinets and one of the small wall cabinets, and I love them. They work great, are easy to level, are solid and good looking. I do recommend that you put some car wax on the outer surface as soon as you get it to protect from surface scratches. I use them to store the larger tools and garage stuff. I am going to get one of the taller units so my wife can store the COSTCO over flow and keep it clean. The only down side is that the mini bungie cords that are provided to help hold items in the door shelves deteriorate quickly and loose their elasticity after about a year.

36" Wide Floor Cabinet - Platinum: My 2nd One. October 24, 2011

The cabnet(s) are welcome additions to our garage. One for Judy and one for my "stuff". The storage space will certainly contibute to an orgainized view for passing neighbors. The cabnets are sturdy as well as hansom. The first cabnet arrived well packaged and went together in a reasonable time. The second cabnet while displaying NO damage to the packaging was either not well inspected or had concealled damage to the lower support base. A neighbor provided delivery assistance and removal of the shipping materials. We were surprised when the left facing door fell loose. After further inspection it was discovered that the left front of the base was 1/8 inch extended which caused two final assembly bolt holes to be missaligned. This condition was corrected by removing a preinstalled machine screw securing the base to the side allowing the other two side-to-bottom assembly bolts to be secured. The cabnet is now installed and working as desired. On reflection, it may have saved a backache by paying Sears personnel for the assembly and/or 1) Sears providing a customer support phone number to call in case of assembly problems. 2) Sears supplier pre-installing the door closers. All purchasers would prefer the 2nd option. Would I order another storage cabnet from Sears? "YES". Signed Leo Zimmerman, Kalmia Landing.....
