Craftsman Professional  36'' Wide Floor Cabinet - Platinum

I purchased several units and the feet broke, the base came off, the doors are adjar all the time, the locks don't work and it is the poorest construction I have ever seen. I would buy the Gladiator ones.

Very nice product. Overall, it was well made and of high quality. Very little assembly required, however, the little bit of assembly that was needed was difficult due to some shoulder bolts not fitting the holes in the cabinet very well. Well packaged. Lots of storage area available in the doors.

After reading all the reviews of this item I was expecting to have to put it together and take it back a few times to get a good one. 1st thing I would say is I am not sure why anyone is reviewing this as not being put together. The only thing that you need to put on this is the feet on the bottom of the cabinet. Maybe I got lucky, but mine was packed very well and didn't have any dents on it at all. The only flaw I noticed were a few creases in the metal where the interior shelves were installed, but it's a garage cabinet and I wasn't expecting a flawless piece of furniture. I am more than happy with this Craftsman product.

Finish quality of welds was poor. Room for improvement in workmanship.

Several screws and nuts did not thread together. Dents in side and front panel. Attempts to force nuts onto screws caused stripping of square retention holes. Expected better.

A few minor annoying things but good overall. It's a cabinet and does what it is supposed to do. Decent buy for the money. Pros- Size in door storage failry heavy steel cons- you have to open the right door to be able to open the left Lock mechanism rattles something terrible didn't come fully assembled- you have to square up cabinet, install latches, sound dampeners for the lock mechanis(still rattles) and the feet

Having to bolt a Garage Floor Cabinet to the wall to keep it from falling over is a new one on me. But hey, whatever. I ordered mine on-line and picked it up locally. Got it home and when opened there were no dings or dents. Assembly is mostly done as mentioned in other posts. What assembly you are required to perform will need a 1/4" socket as 3/8" is too big in some spots. The tops bolts are easy, it's the bottom ones that will give you fits. Use a shallow socket if you have one or a nut driver. I just doubled up the nut's in the socket to start them. To get the small plastic pieces on the door on each side of the rod, I opened them up first with my fingernails then put the front one's on first with the rod down (unlocked). Then move the rod up, turn the lock to get at the back ones. I'm happy with the purchase as I've been looking at one for quite some time. Finally having all my autobody and mechanic tools in one spot is priceless. I may go for another.

Good value for the price. Did have a few dents when picked up at Sears; but doors align well. The metal may be a bit thin in that when you open the door(s) with the detent, the door flexes significantly prior to opening. Added this to an otherwise Gladiator garage and fits OK. Storage in doors is nice. From the limited assembly required it is neverthless frustrating to put the plastic glides around the locking bar - wish that part already came assembled. Happy I purchased.

I give this cabinet four stars only because i would expect alittle more from crafstman. It is going to defeat its purpose but i will say it is not what i suspected. Figured i would get a bit more "bang for your buck" but do not have serious negative things to say. Wish it was a bit bigger but being i did read the dimensions before ordering, just had a bigger picture in mind i guess. Will not go wrong purchasing this product as if you order the other cabinets they make a nice pair and can make a barn/garage look good. So all in all i am happy just not five star happy. Still a good and happy purchase.
