Works great and really lasts March 28, 2011
The metal hand tool box is quite handy and mine has lasted for years. It is light enough to tote around and it holds the tools you need for most of your easy, light around the house work. I also use it for tools I use for the car because it is easy to haul out to the driveway and work on the car. I used to keep it in my trunk just so I had tools available wherever I happened to be. Great product that I highly recommend.

Craftsman 16 Inch Metal Hand Box - Compact & Lightweight Box June 07, 2010
For the money I spent it is a great little tool box. The plastic tote tray is the downside of it and I question how long the tote will be in service. I was hoping for a metal tote tray with a 3/8" drive socket storage rack built into the tray like some of the larger Craftsman metal hand boxes have. The Craftsman 1-1/8" 12 pt. combination wrench is the largest wrench size I could get to go in the bottom. I planned to store in the bottom a set of combination wrenches (5/16" thru 1-1/8" with roll pouch), 7 pc. set of nut drivers with roll pouch, 12 oz. ball pein hammer, soft tipped hammer, 10" adjustable wrench, a 6 pc. punch & chisel set with pouch, and long pliers. In the top I planned to store the short pliers, a 6 pc. set of 3" and 4" phillips and slotted screwdrivers, 6" adjustable wrench, short-arm hex key set with caddy, a 12' measuring tape, and a 1/4" combination wrench. All of it fit. I carry a full set of standard and deep Craftsman 3/8" drive sockets in a separate plastic hand box to balance the load. This technique of loading helps lower the risk of back pain when I lift the box.
