      High Value Butcher Block Top Bench July 24, 2009

      I researched many benches, went to see several and bought this one. There's alot of variety out there. Here's why I chose this one. The wood top is a matter of preference and the look of a butcher block top is what I wanted for my space and my occasional use. The tall height is perfect for standing work or sitting on a tall stool. The legs were easy to assemble to the top, you can fully adjust for level and achieve a stable, solid placement. Bench feels and looks solid. Bench has a 'clean' appearance. Have a helper, it is heavy to upgright after assembly. I love it and recommend it if you want a butcher block top bench at a value. One of my local Sears stores had this bench in stock and it fit in the back of my minivan.

      Good workbench, 1 screw broke November 23, 2008

      Recommendation: be careful not to tighten the screws like you would normally. Go a bit loose on them and you should be ok. I ordered the desk online and picked it up. The transaction was smooth and the service was good. Love the desk, but when screwing the back support bar to the legs one of the screws completely broke off the piece that it threads into. The screw and the piece both came out. I did not bother returning the desk and it seems sturdy enough even with 1 less screw. I gavethe desk a 3/5 for this reason based on poor quality.

      This is an incredibly strong work bench and idiot proof to put together. I was able to assemble this bench by myself in a short period of time using standard tools. I picked this table after reading an earlier review promising me the ease of assembly. They were correct.

      This is a great workbench.  Will surely last forever.  It has a really nice maple top.  I have been hammering, soldering, drilling on this and haven't scratched it yet.

      One word of caution, it is very heavy, so get some help if you are hauling this down in your basement.

      Pros:
      perfect height for projects,Surdy and beautiful,well engineered

      I recently had my garage rebuilt and decided to go with the Gladiator line to design and organize my new space.  This bench is excellent to work on, the butcher block top is extremely sturdy and large enough to work on all my projects.  It also compliments all the Gladiator cabinets I purchased, including the two 5-drawer units which fit perfectly underneath.
