Gladiator  96'' Powerstrip

Exact fit for my Gladiator worktable, sturdy and with 7 outlets. The On/Off switch is a good addition.

The power strip is very well made, but could have had few more outlets. It sits quite tall above the workbench so it will take up some wall space that might have been used for other things before. Overall a great buy on sale for less than $80, but definitely not worth the full retail..

Good: Serves as a great backstop if you have purchased the matching workbenches. Solid. The finish is good. Bonus: the power button is covered, so dust/debris won't get into the switch. This is different from the advertised appearance, and is a welcome change. Bad: Expensive for what it is and does. I wish it had a recess in the back where the cord exits the unit, so you could push the table/powerstrip flush to the wall. It comes directly out the back, so you're stuck with about 1" gap between the back of the unit and the wall. Additionally, the end of the cord is your normal plug type - if it were a flat type plug, you could push the table closer to the wall (if your outlet is directly behind the unit, like mine). A compartment in the back to take up excess slack for the power cord would also be nice, but alas, I have to just bunch it up and zip tie it.

Made well . I bought this item to go with the rest of the set of Gladiator Cabinets, Tool Boxes and accessories of Gladiator Items. This piece how ever, I feel is over priced, for the function it performs and what it is. These are set prices by Gladiator and not that of Sears

Bolts right onto the Gladiator workbench. I did use a small drillbit to start the holes then wrenched them very easily.

I recently installed the Gladiator Power Strip on my 8' work bench. It was easy to install and the extra plugs are perfect for all those extras you want to have ready access for. I especially like the plugs on the back of the strip for those items you want to leave plugged in all the time such as the air compressor or retractable electrical cord. The only addition that could make it better would be to allow the rear plugs to stay energized after turning off the power switch located on the front.

I got this power strip to go along with my new 8' gladiator workbench. It does great with running all sorts of power tools off of the strip. Plus there are 2 outlets in the back of the strip, I have my workshop clock plugged into one of them. I keep my power strip plugged in all the time. Like others have written, the cord does stick out the back and prevents you from pushing work bench up against the wall completely. I wish the desing team had taken that into consideration upon designing something that needs to be space conscious. But I knew this from reading the other reviews so I can't complain. This product gets 5 stars from me and I would buy another one. Only down fall is it is a little pricey for what you are actually getting.

As most, I purchased to attach to my Gladiator 6 ft workbench.  Pretty expensive for a powerstrip, but it matches very nicely and ensures a uniform and handsome look with the workbench.  I purchased on sale, so I didn't feel so guilty about the price.  It is one size fits both - fits the 6ft and 8ft Gladiator workbench.  Includes tool holders to be mounted on each end of the powerstrip - but this will only be operational on the 8 ft workbench.  You'll leave the tool holders off on the 6 ft workbench.  No worries, because the tool holders can still be used on the Gladiator mounting strip boards, if you see fit.  Heavy duty product and looks great with the bench.  Attaches in a jiffy, but will require that you drill a few holes in the back of the workbench Maple top.  Secures very nicely to the bench.

I purchased this strip to go with my Craftsman stainless work surface. Gladiator makes handsome stuff, and the powerstrip looks good with its silver/grey hammered finish. It complements the stainless surface and would probably look great with any bench. In addition to its looks, the strip is solidly built and mounts easily. As you already know, there are plenty of outlets. The power cord is very long and quite hefty.

Now the negatives. That hefty power cord comes out of the back of the unit. It is not possible to have the powerstrip flush against a wall. The cord requires at least an inch clearance. That may be ok for some applications; if so there are a couple more outlets on the back that are available. Additionally, the on/off switch lacks feel. Fortunately it has an internal light to let you know it's on.

The powerstrip gets 4 stars because it is well made, does its job and looks good. If price was no factor or he just had to have Gladiator, I'd recommend it to a friend based on those criteria. But for much less money you can do just as well with any common power strip.
