      GearWall is worth the expense September 07, 2010

      The Gladiator GearWall Panels are expensive, but are worth the price if you're serious about garage organization and flexibility.  They are relatively easy to assemble a full wall with few difficulties.  The wall panels are heavy, so it's either a talented one-person job or a two-person job.  The panels are sturdy and hold a lot of weight, but they are fairly brittle if you decide to use a hammer to aid in the mounting process.  It takes a little force to get the tongue-and-groove seam to be tight, so use a block of wood and hammer.

      Overpriced, Not flexible March 02, 2008

      with just minimal research you'll learn that you can get a better product for less money. Or for the same price you can get better quality and installation. the other problem with this line is that the wall system is proprietary to Gladiator so you can't use the universal accessories that work with every other system.

      I like the material that these are made out of. It is easy to work with and the screws draw the material close to the wall in spite of any imperfections in the wall. The material is strong and the hanging system is well thought out. It appears that Whirlpool thought of everything, just look at the list of accessories. I'm going to install the two that I purchased between the workbench and the wall cabinets.

      Pros:
      great product,Easy to mount,Strong,Uniform and organized look
      Cons:
      pre-drill please

      This product is where it's at! It is not for those who are afraid to open the checkbook though. Plan and measure your area and you will find that it's money well spent for both looks and function. Easy to cut and mount with simple tools. You'll need to know where the wall studs are but if your garage is only sheetrocked and taped like mine, they're obvious. Predrill screw holes through pannels. Cut outs for outlets and switches can be done with a jigsaw or by hand with a coping saw. I will probably do my entire garage when I get extra ca$h.
