Nice Circular Saw
I gave the Nextec Circular Saw a 4 star because of the weight and convenience. It saves me the hassle of bringing out my DeWalt battery operated circular saw. The setup time is quick for this saw, as the battery is small and light. For the performace, I would recommend it for base board cuts or for woods that are no thicker than 2x2 wood. 2x3 you can get by but will be taxing the motor. The cut is not very fine, it nicks the wood at the end and that is because of the blade that is provided. The circular blade sold at Sears looks more idea for the everyday small diameter cuts.

I did not expect that the saw is not fit for cutting a wood with thickness more than 1/2 inch and it's cannot be use for more than five minutes continuously.

So far- so good
I purchased this saw for one reason and one reason only...to plunge cut into sheetrock. I am a remodeler, and when I have to cut into a sheetrock wall, I need one, a lightweight saw, two, a saw that spins slow and doesn't throw dust everywhere, and it must be cordless. This saw fits the bill and has done well so far on the first few jobs. A bonus on this saw is the vacuum connection to suck the dust as you cut. Battery capacity is a little low, so Sears if you read your reviews please offer a higher capacity 12 volt battery.

Worked for me!
I used this saw to cut 12MM laminate flooring and it worked very well in this application. I can see that this will be good for other small DIY projects around the house. It would have been better if the purchase had included the battery and charger. Luckily I noticed that it didn't at the store and purchased them separately. If I had to make a separate trip to Sears I would have been more annoyed.

The little saw that can
I was skepticle when I purchased this saw that is only 12 volts. But I had a repair on the siding of my house to do so I took a chance. The little thing can slice through 3/4 inch cement board as if it was a/c. It went through 3/4 treated plywood also. It did the job eaisly with one battery.

SAW FAILED
It was a nice little trim saw while it lasted, but it failed after only two years of occasional light use. Sears Blue Crew explained warranty is for one year with receipt, so I lose. Lesson learned.

Nice and Compact
I bought this saw to do some trim work around the house.. This saw is a great workhorse. It has plenty of power for a 12 volt saw. I like the bolt on dust collection chute, makes clean up a breeze. All the adjustment knobs are a bright color which makes it easier to identify which knobs you need to move. I also like the fuel gauge on the front of the handle, it will let you know when how much time you have left before you need to switch out the battery. One of the nicest features the saw has is the blade lock on the opposite side of the saw, it really is super easy to change the blade out if needed. One thing I am disappointed in is there is no place to store the blade tool and I can't seem to find an item number for an edge guide that says it's sold seperately.

I have other saws but this one works for light duty applications (i.e. smaller pieces of wood). Sheet wood cuts nicely if you have a guide to keep the cut straight.
