Lots of space, but too heavy to be considered portable. April 05, 2011
I use this box as a topper for a rolling chest. It has lots of room and really helped me organize my tools. That makes every job easier as i dont' spend as much time rooting through a deep box looking for things. Drawers work well. I added drawer liners to keep the noise down when moving tools in and out.
I do, however, keep a smaller, lighter box for things that I need to take out and about. This box is too heavy, especially when full, to truly be considered portable.

I think that the tool chest is average quality and will be sufficient, but after purchasing the item and being conned into signing up for the rewards program, I am receiving emails every day from Sears and LOTS of other companies that I have never heard of before.
Be aware that you will be hassled from Sears and everyone else that they sell their mailing lis to!!!!

Too Narrow,Shallow DrawersThis is a good, sturdy box for the money. My only gripe is that it is too narrow, and the drawers are shallow. Make it 10" instead of 8", and make the drawers 1 inch deepr, and it would be perfect.

Drawer sticksI bought this yesterday, it is my first "real" toolbox. I'm a little chagrined that my top drawer significantly sticks about half-way when opening. I'm o vn the fence about returning the box. I've read that a couple other folks have trouble with sticking drawers too. Before I return the box, I'm going to remove the drawer and check out the slide's alignment, and possibly lube up the slides. (Manual recommends lubing twice a year and I can tell this wasn't done from the factory.) I'll update this review later. In the end, I rated it high, because it's a solid box, larger than I need, and still impresses this homeowner/hobbyist, who still has to use his dad for DIY projects.
