about time
Finally, a solution to cutting large sheets plywood, I have struggled to cut plywood for years until I bought a Bora 50" straight edge clamp. Works like it is advertised to and you can cut angles up to 22.5 degrees.

The straight edge is very thin alum. Also, the clamping mechanism does not fit well and allows for side play while trying to make a cut.
Please try the All in One by eemerson available online all over the place.

Worked like a champ!
I was a little apprehensive about this given some of the negative reviews. Also, I didn't know if the motor of my saw would clear the clamp. This thing worked great! For my first project, I needed to trim about 3/16" off the bottom of a door. I had no room for error, and if I'd had to replace the door, it would have been very expensive. The clamp was very easy to put in in place and get tight -- you just have to read the directions carefully and follow them precisely. To make sure no paint chipped off, I used a utility knife to score the paint first. I used a sharp, high-quality cross-cut blade, and the result was perfectly smooth and straight. I wish I'd bought one of these things years ago.

Quick and easy and awsome
Bora 50 in. Straight Edge Clamp is a great clamp for my little shop. This is the first clamp of this type that I have purchased and I already like it a lot. Great for cutting down sheets of plywood and hard board for projects and making my own jigs. It's quick and extremely easy to use. You can also use it for angled cuts. works great with my circular saw, my C3 jig saw, & my Craftsman plunge router, It also works great for glue projects. It stores nicely on a peg hook on my peg board above my work bench with the small hanging attatchment on the end of the clamp. The paded cleats have great grip and do not mark or scar your work pieces. Just place where you need the clamp & push the handle down to lock it into place and you are done. Great purchase. Straight line cuts, Great price.

The Bora 50 in Straight Edge clamp is very useful
The straight edge is great for making cuts with a circular saw. It works nicely for clamping wood without leaving a mark. It has great grip power. It works well, but I would like to see some improvement made to the way you adjust the clamp. The adjustment away from the handle works well when the clamp is adjusted too small. When the clamp is adjusted too big, it is annoying to reposition. You have to be careful when clamping because of the length. It is very easy to get the far side off from where you want it. That is really only important when you are using it as a straight edge. Overall I would say it is one step above using a straight edge with some quick clamps. I rated it based off how well it performs, not off the value for the price. For the money you are better off using a regular straight edge with a couple of cheap clamps. If you like gadgets and do not like walking around from one side of the project to the other, then this is a great tool and worth the money.

Bora straight edge clamps have been a huge help in my small workshop. In fact this particular model has made very quick work of helping me to cut sheets of plywood so I don't have to stand in line waiting for the home center to do it. It fits across the full width of a 4'x8' sheet and I don't need extra clamps to hold it in place The body is more than rigid enough to keep from moving while cutting or routing. The clamp pads are about 1-1/2" deep and have a soft rubber face, because of their size I've been able to cut two sheets of plywood at the same time!! And unlike other straight edge clamps I have, the handle is more like a long lever so tightening it into the locking position is easier than struggling with a little nub like others. The other feature I like is the swivel head of the pads. YOU CAN MAKE ANGLED CUTS and you don't need extra clamps to hold it in place! This is great also when you want to clamp something with an odd shaped edge. Can't say enough about these clamps!!

Major timesaver, great product
When will more of these clamps be in stock?? I need 5 more for the rest of our guys. This is by far the best straightege clamp i ever used. I was a bit sceptical at first, but in the end i tried one myself, I was real impressed. The clamp mechanism is realeasy to use, and adjusts simply. Also holds good, doesn't move even on glossy finish doors. Ive tried a number of different clamp arrangements over the years, but all our guys need this one. Great product.
