It stays in my camping/hunting gear bag
This was given to me as a gift for my birthday and I quickly added it to my collection of hunting and camping gear that I use during the peak seasons. It's a nice tool that was extremely useful in helping me fix my tent last time out because the zipper got caught on some of the tent material. It's also a fairly useful pocket knife as well as a good pair of pliers.
I recommend this gift be at the top of your list of items to purchase for Christmas as a stocking stuffer because this is definitely a great tool to have out in the field.

The Leatherman Super Tool 300 didn't meet my needs.
It's a well-made tool. However, the Super Tool 300 blades are accessible only after opening the tool. I prefer the Surge for single-handed access to the blades while the tool is closed.

Leatherman Super tool 300
Having had a Leatherman super tool 300 in the past, I was able to purchase one at Sears and save some money in the process. I am always glad I can grab my tool easily strapped to my belt and tackle whatever task is ahead of me.

Very poor quality, metal used is brittle and breaks easly.
I own many leatherman tools and this new Leatherman Blast is useless junk. The tip of the small flat head screw driver broke off the first time I used it, so I ground it down flat to make it useable again. Next the large flat head screw driver broke off at the base. The metal used in the product is very brittle and I would not recomend it to anyone. I have bent the tools in my other older leatherman tools, but never broke one. This product is not up to the standard I have come to expect from Leatherman.

One of the best multi-tools ever.
I have utilized this multi-tool constantly since I purchased it. It was well worth the high purchase price. This should be standard issue to all people who like to work with their hands. I would definitely recommend this tool to anyone who wants a great multi-tool.

A dozen tools in one compact usable design
This Leatherman is one of those 21st century invention upgrades that along with new design and production materials has virtually taken dominance in its category and use. What all can the Leatherman super tool 300 do ? How much time you got ? What uses or needs can one tool handle well ? How many single tools could this one multi tool take the place of ? The 300 has two sets of pliers which are regular adjustable and needle nose for tight spots. Need to make a hole; it has a awl. Having a Coke bottle to open; no problem we have a bottle opener. How can we open the tuna to go with the Coke; with our tools can opener. Something has broken and has a sharp edge now but our 300 has a file. An electrical connection has broken but our tool has both a wire stripper and wire cutter. We even used the tape measure built into the handles to fit the correct length. Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdrivers both small and large....this could go on forever. Point of fact is that virtually all campers, truckers, boy scouts, survivalist and more not only own one of these Leatherman tools but actually carry and use them frequently. You cannot go wrong with this gem.
