The Craftsman Utility Knife is well-made and very useful. March 26, 2011
Just purchased my second one of these because I lost my other one and can't stand to be with out it any longer. The first one of these I bought I used regularly, week by week, and it was driving me crazy not being able to find it. It is very well-made but I sure wish it was made in the USA. The clip on the knife keeps it securely and conveniently in my pocket and easily accessible.
The blend of quality metal and wood makes me proud to own this tool. It also comes with a nice leather sheath if you don't want to carry it directly in your pocket. Watch for this item to go on sale for @ $7.49. That's 50% off. For this great price I would highly recommend this utility knife as a great gift for any guy in your life. It's also the perfect size for a stocking stuffer. Then the next years later you can get him a pack of refills and he'll thank you for it. It's easy to change the blades out. Sure it sharp and potentially dangerous but it is a knife.

The Craftsman Utility Knife is really sharp June 09, 2010
These are more like a pocket knife. I don't recommend these because the police might try to kill you, or cause you a lot of grief for simply being in posession of one regardless of what state you are in. Mine is in my set of tools in my workshop and I have used it once. I was not very comfortable with the folding blade and feared I would cut my fingers while opening, or closing the blade. I am happier with the old-fashioned scrapers, fixed blade, or retractable utility knives in my carpenter's tool belt. They are better suited for my type of work.

No negatives that I can think ofI purchased this utiity knife for my 20 year old son as a Christmas gift. The knife is well made and durable. Cuts up card board boxes easily. It looks sharp in its leather carrying case. I would recommend this knife...it makes a great gift!

Pros:
solid,durable,rugged,Comfortable fit in hand and pocketCons:
Not made in USA,stiff out of the box,I Prefer stiff, worn is even betterThis is a must have in my line of work. The fact that I can clip it onto my pocket means that it is a part of a "uniform" as it were, even though I don't where one. I go from one area to the next and the first thing I do is "pat" my pocket to make sure that I didn't forget my utliity knife at the last work station. Did I mention easy to use? A quick flip and the old blade pops out, I dispose of that properly; then pop a new blade in and close the locking mechanism. I'm ready for my next project and I do change blades often! I've used lots of Utility Knives in my line of work, trial and error! These are consistently solid and durable, and there is nothing better than knowing whatever tool you are are using, the tool is solid and capable of getting the job done. Yes, I would have preferred they were made in the USA and if I were to find better knife then I would consider switching. But, I can't and I need a good tool and belive it or not, this tool has gotten me out of some "interesting" situations!

Pros:
solid,durable,ruggedI work in networking, running all types of cables from fiber to copper. I usually use a good pair of snips to cut through all the shielding and Kevlar, but every time they get dull I have to buy a new pair. The Craftsman Utility Knife cuts just as well if not better, and I get to cut down on my expenses. Now if my blade gets a little dull or rusty it's a quick 5 second fix, literally. The Utility Knife also has a locking mechanism so you don't have to worry about it folding up and cutting yourself. In the end it's an awesome knife and an awesome price.
