Good value September 15, 2009
I bought this specifically for the large 28 piece. I've travelled to Africa with it and back, my son has travelled with it twice and its still going strong after almost two years. I've also used the other pieces and they are still intact. It's a better buy than some of the other luggage I have bought from Sears.

Too Heavy June 16, 2008
I purchased this set for its apparent durability, but I did not pay attention to the weight of each piece prior to the purchase. Since I have used this set I have had to pay extra cost because these bags are ALWAYS over weight, even when they are less than half full. If you're not traveling by air, this is set is for you. If air flight is your choice; DO NOT purchase this set.

The Forecast Luggage Set we bought has a nasty odor August 29, 2010

We purchased our luggage 3 years ago and realized as we were packing that it had a nasty odor. It seems to be the interior smells much worse, which is probably why it didn't seem too terrible (more of a new luggage smell) until we arrived at our destination and had to wash most of our clothing before wearing it. Last year we sprayed the interior with Fabreeze and aired it out (outside) for a couple days before using it again and removed our clothing as soon as we arrived at our destination. We have only used it twice since we purchased it and just took it out yesterday to prepare for this year's vacation. The smell seems much worse after it sat for another year and we have finally decided we are finished with this. We are tired of taking clothes out and having to air them out before we can wear them. I am sitting here feeling nauseous and wondering if the fact that we had the luggage out getting ready for our trip has anything to do with it. The luggage was not really expensive, and probably not worth the trip back to Sears to try to haggle with a return at this point. We are tired of making do and are going to trash an otherwise perfectly fine set of luggage. It goes without saying that we will obviously never buy a piece of Forecast luggage again, no matter how great the sale. We have borrowed luggage from family to test drive for this vacation before we purchase another set. Their luggage was also on sale when they purchased it and it doesn't smell bad at all.

We purchased a five piece set with a two year gaurentee/warrentee. we had used them once when purchased and also one year after, the set was idle for a little over a year in an indoor storage, after two years and 45 days after they were purchased we discovered that the plastic back between the sliding telescoping handles and exterior cloth cover crumbled on the large suite case and the middle size case, the small one had many cracks and was very brittle.
