Perfect machine to start sewing on! April 01, 2011
After years of wanting to learn how to sew, but being too intimidated to begin, I finally took the plunge and purchaced the Kenmore 110 stitch sewing machine. I LOVE it! It is easy to set up (thanks to a little extra help from You Tube, which would have been the case no matter which machine I selected), and it runs quietly and smoothly. It is easy to operate--in my first week of use, I completed a couple pillows, a sundress, and a skirt. I never thought I'd be able to sew dresses right off the bat, but this machine really makes sewing easy and enjoyable. With 110 stitches and lots of available accessories, I think I'll be sewing on it for some time to come. Highly recommended!

Not as good as expected October 06, 2009
I purchased this machine January 2007, I don't sew on a regular bases anymore but a first the machine was fine. The first garmet I made with the machine was a disater. The thread jammed then I received an error message after I unjammed the thread. I the manual said the machine need repair this was about 1 and half after having machine. When calling about repair found out it would have to be sent to Kansas City. I had someone locally look at it because after taking to them was told it would not be covered under warranty on of the main reason for this purchase. They found that a fuse had burnt out and they replaced it ., Now eight months later the same thing has happened. I believed there is some electriacal problem that causes this to happen and that should be under warranty..

An Excellent Machine December 21, 2011

easy to use,price,Easy to work with,Great qualityI bought this model as a Christmas gift for my wife over a year ago. Because she is new to sewing, I wanted to make sure that the machine that she uses would not frustrate her with poor quality.
It has performed perfectly since then and is quieter and appears to be built more soundly than other models from Singer and Brother.
Added bonus: it has an incandescent light to illiminuate the sewing path, not a bluish L.E.D. that may present a vision hazard to susceptible people. I searched for months to find a machine with a conventional bulb for this reason, and the Kenmore model #19110 was the only one that I found.
