Euro-Pro  Shark Portable Steam Pocket Deluxe

The steamer heats up fast, there is a clear window to be able to know how much water is left in the steamer, also has a long electrical cord. This is great for areas that are always hard to clean, leaves the bathroom as clean as possible, great on the stove/oven area. There are many attachments included, the one for venetian style blinds is easy to use, and does a good job. I had a previous hand steamer from another brand, the Shark out performs , is easier to use, with all the attachments are included.

The Portable Steam Pocket heats up very fast! It is easy to use. My only complaint is that you have to use both hands, one to hold the end piece and one to hold the steam trigger. Other than that I absolutely love it. The steam removed crayon from my ways that had been there for months! My bathroom looks amazing, all of the hard water stains GONE!

I really like the cleaning power of steam and the Shark is easy to use and has lots of attachments. I did find that when I was doing larger job, ie the bathroom, I had to refill several times. There is no light or anything to tell you that you have run out of water.. it just quits steaming.

All in all this is a great little machine.

This product work good.  I would recomment it.  I used it for my bathroom and my kitchen counters.  It helped clean some of the hard to reach areas and loosened caked on dirt.  Good for sanitizing through steaming.  Comes with several attachments.  This is a great product for those who feel the need to clean surface and nooks and crannies.

In an effort to further reduce the use of chemicals in my home, I went to Sears to buy a steam cleaner.  Though the website had a few choices, my local Sears only had this Shark portable pocket steam cleaner.  Since I love my Shark steam mop, I went for it with very few hesitations.

Like the Shark steam mop, the portable cleaner heats up quickly and is pretty simple to assemble.  The only confusing part for me was discovering that some of the attachment pieces were actually tucked into other pieces so they would fit in a box of that size.  I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the multitude of attachments prior to assembly, to spare yourself just a little confuson!

So far the performance seems to be great.  This did assist me in removing a few caked-on messes that elbow grease just didn't get rid of, and all without chemicals!

Like many steam cleaners, this one recommends you use distilled water, though I think if your mineral content isn't too high you can get away with tap water. They write this up pretty clearly in the instructions.  Between this and my Shark steam mop, I am now in the habit of stocking at least two gallons of distilled water on-hand as a rule, to make sure I can always clean what and when I need to.  I recommend doing this if you have one or both.  Fortunately, distilled water (sometimes labeled "for appliances" on the gallon) is pretty cheap.  I always find it under $1.00 a gallon, sometimes as low as $0.60.

Though it was a lot of fun to use this steam cleaner, I have two complaints:

1. Like all/other Shark steam cleaners, the replacement pockets/pads for this one are spendy.

2. Some of the attachments, intended for heavier-duty work, ended up a little misshapen after I used them.  Specifically, there is a scrub-brush attachment that comes with this steam cleaner.  Shark includes two of them.  I wasn't sure why until I used the first scrub brush over a long enough period of time that the steam heat and the scrubbing action in tandem ended up warping the scrub bristles somewhat.  For that reason, I appreciate that they specifically included two of them.  This makes it seem much more reasonable, as if they are openly and honestly acknowledging "these will wear out, so we'll throw in an extra."
