Dyson  DC35 Digital Slim Multi Floor Vacuum

Great cordless vacuum. I bought this for the kitchen and family room area where I need to be able to just pick it up and clean quick messes without having to worry about a cord and it works great. I have another Dyson canister vac for the house as well. I highly recommend this vacuum and Dyson vacs as well.

We were so excited to have a dyson cordless come with our new rv, until we used it.. It only hold a charge for maybe 5 minutes.. Works great when it does work.. Vevy disappointed.

This is my second Dyson product. We love both machines! I have carpet, carpeted stairs and wood floors. We also have one cat and two 8y/o's, and this machine gets a work out every day. I must spot vacuum with The Slim, 4-6 times a day. Especially on the hardwood floors. I hate seeing things on my floors. I thought the price was a bit high, but I love this machine! I have had a major back injury and with the Slim, I can vacuum so much easier with this. It's not heavy and I can move room to room on a single charge. I have never run out of battery life. The only complaints I have is that the handheld body with the battery,separates from the body and it will cut in and out. Very frustrating! I think that how you take the machine off the docking station pulls the battery away from the body just a little. When I called about it, they sent me a new "body" for it. I did take a long time to get the part. A month it took. In the mean time I would push the battery in and kind of squeeze the body in and down and the connection stays until I pull back on the machine too hard. So I may push things together several times while vacuuming. The other thing that I didn't like is that the purple part on the head that acts like a bumper, broke. The plastic broke near the screw, so now that part is half on/off and snags the carpet. I called customer service and they are sending a replacement part. They were nice on the phone and I liked that I didn't have to pay for any parts. Even in less than perfect form, I still use this product several times a day. I still feel this was a good buy!!

When I first saw this handheld I was SOOOO excited. I?ve always heard great things about Dyson. I am a working mother with two children and I thought this would be an amazing help for quick clean ups between weekly cleanings. It was a little out of my league as far as price but after hearing me talk nonstop about how this would help me, my family purchased this for my birthday one year ago! At first I thought it was everything I dreamed of however, my opinion quickly changed. The vacuum was great for cleaning up cracker crumbs or dried crumbled up mud. HOWEVER, even on the ?max? function it will not pick up anything substantial examples: dried macaroni shell, whole goldfish cracker, crumpled small pieces of paper, and crayon pieces. I am in total understanding the vacuum isn?t intended for big jobs but come on?I can?t even clean my kids play room after snack and play time! The vacuum is constantly clogging up which causes it to stop working despites my efforts to clean it out regularly. Forget about cleaning anything but hard surfaces. I was extremely disappointed in the performance of the vacuum?I really needed this in my life! I also am upset that my family spent so much money on a present for me that doesn?t do what I thought. I see all the good reviews so maybe I just got a dud! Sincerely?Super Sad Mommy!

Must keep the on button depressed at all times. Would be much better if there was an on/off switch or if you could depress to click on and depress again to click off. Awkward to have to depress the button the entire time you're vacuuming. That's the only drawback so far but not sure I would have purchased at this price had I known prior to purchasing. Customer Service rep indicated they've gotten this complaint before.

We purchased the DC35 after replacing our carpets with laminate flooring. I have an old Dyson Animal Upright that I've had for many years, and it still works fine. That's why I went back to Dyson when searching for something lighter to use. I have back problems so needed something lightweight and easy. I've had the DC35 for about a month now and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! We have 2 cats and a dog (who doesn't shed but does track in leaves, etc). This machine handles everything, and usually when set on low power. I use it on the floors, on rugs I have scattered about, to clean the computer keyboard, blinds, inside window sills, and just about anyplace else you can think of. It's easy on my back and does a great job. I just wish some of the attachments for the larger vacuums would fit it (like the tangle-free turbine or the multi-angle brush). I've stored my large dyson (no way would I sell it or even give it to one of the kids--we may move to a home with carpet some day and it still works like new). If you're considering this, don't hesitate.

We ordered this thinking it would be great with our 1 year old and chocolate lab. It was a HUGE disappointment and we wish we ordered the Dyson Anima (not cordless). I don't recommend this model to anyone and after less than 20 days I am very disappointed with my purchase.

This is my first Dyson and I'm always skeptical of cordless. Dyson changed my mind - it has wonderful power and suction. I can't believe it's not plugged in. I'm sold on Dyson. I know I'll vaccuum more now.

I received this vacuum as a Christmas gift, and thought what am I gonna do with this little thing? I have two very large, very hairy Old English Sheepdogs and must vacuum daily. I was so pleasantly surprised by the power of this little guy. But the one thing that truly makes my day about it is the ease with which I can remove the roller and clear the hair from it. It's light weight and I can use it on the stairs and the furniture. The only question I have now is why did I wait so long to get one. I have recommended this vacuum to anybody who will listen. People are beginning to think I work for the company. I have also given it as a wedding gift to two of my friends.

It is a great machine but bear in mind that it does not have the powerful suction of a big vacuum. You are getting a really efficient quick broom. It goes into a lot of places that I wasn't able to access before and it is easy to operate, but I am not sure that the high price is worth it. I will need more time to see how it withstands the upcoming months.
