I bought 1 of these Kenmore 1.1 Countertop Ovens and love it September 09, 2010
This microwave works great. I bought it about 8 months ago and absolutely love it for cooking popcorn and baked potatoes. Some times I have to watch it when cooking popcorn because it will burn, but I believe that is because of the quality of the popcorn and has nothing to do with the microwave. One thing I am concerned about is if this microwave will last much longer than a year because I have had microwaves in the past that just stopped working shortly after the 1 year mark hit. I would recommend this microwave so far.

The outer cabinet of the oven gets very hot. July 19, 2010
I just bought this microwave today to replace one that was stolen from my home. After setting it up on the counter top, I reheated some leftover pasta and it did a great job, but I did notice that the outside of the oven was rather warm/hot. So, I then cooked a baked potato at two 3 minute intervals, (stopping to turn it in between resets). I noticed that the cabinet of the oven was even hotter after that. Some people say that this is normal, while others say it is not. I don't remember my other microwave heating on the outside like this.

Heats well. Lots of energy,sizeThe best feature of this oven is its size. It takes very little space on the counter, yet because of its curved interior, its a full size oven and easier to clean without without square corners.

Pros:
Heats well. Lots of energyThe first week of October I had a power surge that blew up my new microwave. I went to K mart to shop for the same product as I had purchased it there. After three weeks I decieded to go with the Kenmore 1.1 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave Oven even though it was a little larger than what I had. Counter space is a issue for me. I love it. It takes up the same amount of space as my .9 cu. ft. that I was replacing and works so much better. So good in fact that I went back on Black Friday and purchased one identical to it for my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas. Thanks Kenmore for an excellent product. It is roomy has plenty of specialty buttons as well as the regular numbers and shows the time as well.

My wife bought this at Christmas, 2010. She wanted a red one and this is the only one she found. Only my wife and I, so it does not get extraordinary use. It is now stuck ON whenever plugged in and none of the buttons work. After a few seconds, it has that electrical smell that usually prededes a fire. It should still be under warranty and could be replaced or repaired but I have found several people who reported the same problem and I don't want this thing in my house. Kmart and Sears carried the same model but Sears had it branded as Kenmore and Kmart did not. Interesting, it doesn't appear that Sears offers it anymore. If you go to their website, it states sold at Kmart and nothing more.
