Major Defect
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL THERE IS A CHANGE IN QUALITY.
This microwave was built with the cabinet unlevel. One cornor is 1/2 inch short. This makes it rock on the countertop. I checked at the Sears store and found that every microwave Elite in stock was the same way. Also the rubber pads that level the microwave on the counter leave black streaks on the countertop that require comet to wash it off. Don't buy one of these until you personally check it out carefully.

Don't purchase
Had it two weeks and the glass in door cracked while using convection. The oven got exrtremely hot with no fans to ventilate it. Got it back after two weeks and used the convection again and it got so hot my husband was afraid it would catch on fire. Last microwave/convection oven we had had fans running during cooking and after cooking to cool unit down. Buy something else!

This is a beautiful microwave
We also bought the 27" trim kit. The microwave and trim kit look great together. We looked at a lot of stores and found that most microwaves and trim kits didn't look very good or were very expensive. This microwave and trim kit looked better than anything else we saw. The price was also a lot better than the competition.

1.5 Cubic ft convection Microwave oven
Years ago I had a Kenmore convection Microwave and it lasted over 15 years so when I needed to replace it, I naturally went to this brand again. I am not disappointed...tried it for my Easter dinner, Macaroni and cheese and ham both cooked excellent. Glad I decided to stick with this brand.

Fire hazard
I just purchased my second Kenmore microwave/convection oven and it is going back to Sears just like the first one purchaed. The convection oven doesn't come up to temperature although the oven indicates it has reached preheat temp. At the same time the outside of the oven is so hot I could fry an egg on it. This is clearly a fire hazzard. I had the same issue with the first unit I purchased

Still new but works really well...
My last Microwave/convention oven was a Kenmore that I bought 23 years ago. It still worked if you whacked it just right. The new oven has many bangs and whistles - like a popcorn button. I really could do without this. I can hear when the corn has stopped popping. The old oven showed the current oven temperature where the new one just shows the tmp that it is set to. I guess I am getting older and could tell you how much better the old one was (hehe). But there are a few features I really like - more even food temp. The automatic sensors are nice. I don't have to open the door and keep sticking my finger in the food to see if it is hot enough. I used it yesterday (convection) for my first real test - apple - cranberry galette. The crust was perfect. I hope I get another 23 years out of my new Kenmore oven.
