I have been sewing for over 40 years. I have started out with a treadle machine, moved up to an electric sewing machine. Then I got a sewing machine that made button holes. Well my machine died and I needed a new one. I make my own furniture throws, blankets and so much more. I did my research and found the Brother CS6000i Sew Advance Sew Affordable 60 Stitch Computerized Free Arm Sewing Machine and it was just what I wanted. It does so much more than just sew. This sewing machine comes with the following: Wide table for making quilts and embroidery. Free Arm Sewing attachment Presser foot ( You can use it or use the button on the front of the machine) bobbins Button hole foot Overcasting foot Monogramming foot Zipper foot Zigzag foot Blind stitch foot Button fitting foot Seam ripper Needle set Twin needle Cleaning brush Screwdriver Edtra spool pin This machine also comes with a machine case It has potential to make 60 different stitches as you can see from the attached photo I am in love with my Brother sewing machine. I do have a problem with the automatic needle threader. I can't seem to get it to work at all. It works with all material weights. You just need to verify that your needle is the right kind for your material. The stitches are beautiful. The machine is so easy to use and looks so fancy on my sewing table. I am proud to show it off.

I was curious after reading all the great reviews on it over the web. Is it really as good as they say it is? There is a Sears near my house if it is not a keeper, it would be easy to return it. But it is a keeper. Machine quilting is a new hobby of mine, still a beginner. With this machine, it is going to make it way more fun. I still cannot believe that this little machine has so many functions for such a low price. Some merchants list it for over $400 as the manufacturer suggested price!

There is a flaw in this unit. I bought it and it does have a lot of features and as a computerized machine it does a great deal for the price, but the unit that holds the bobbin is made of plastic and it will jump out of position from time to time usually breaking the needle. The first time I brought it in for repair after only a few garments the repairing company also said they found large amounts of bunched thread. The second time this machine failed because of the plastic slide unit I put it permanently up on the shelf and am back to using my old, reliable Singer. I will be looking for a new machine soon

My mom and I bought this about I don't know, 7 years ago, or so. Now, I'm not an avid sewer but my mom does really well by hand, and by sewing machine. I take my sewing machine out maybe once every 2 months or so for a sewing project, and it almost always dissapoints me. The bobbin always seems to jam, and it's almost impossible to get the stuck material cut away and out of the bottom of the machine. But it's possible it's just me and that I am not giving it enough slack on the setting bar or spinning the thread onto the bobbin unevenly. I love all the settings of different stitches, but it's so difficult to get through one project without it jamming up more than once. If you know your stuff, maybe you could do well with this one, but I'm not sure.

I have only had this sewing machine for 2 days but I am in love! This is the best sewing machine I have ever had including 2 previous Brother sewing machines. Everything is an upgrade! Make sure you read the manual or you will never figure out how many clever and useful tools there are. I would highly recommend this sewing machine to anyone. I feel spoiled!

I haven't done any sewing in years, but on impulse bought this machine wanting to get started again. I am totally amazed at the features and how easy it is to use. I watched the DVD, followed along and everything was explained perfectly. I love how easy it is to wind and insert the bobbin, and threading the needle is an absolute breeze. This is a gem of a machine and makes sewing fun again. I'm so glad I wandered past it in the store.

I have a home based business doing custom sewing and I've got to say...I am Quite AMAZED at how this machine comes off as a little work-horse. I am glad she beeps and won't sew if I'm doing something wrong. It has spared me wasting fabric and trim. Another machine would have allowed me to continue sewing and ended up costing me time and money. Perhaps you've inserted your bobbin wrong(there's a diagram)or you need to clean under your plate...a simple thing to do. I wish you had had better luck with it. It truly is a joyful experience. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MACHINE !!!

I just got this machine on Friday and I have been sewing on it every day since I opened it. I have done quilting, mending, and made a bag for a friends birthday and this sewing machine has handled it all like a dream. I am very happy with the quality. I took the time to read through the instructions, then went through them again, trying out each feature as I went through. It has several options my old Brother (a 99$ Walmart special) did not have. I love the quilting package that came with it. I highly reccomment it!

My father bought this sewing machine for my Mom and she had problems figuring out how to work it. I have it and have had all sorts of problems. I still can't get the auto threader to work. It has a computer in it and if you don't do everything right (like put the pressure foot down) it will beep at you and won't work. I got it to sew and the thread got tangled and the machine beeped and froze up. When I got it untangled and rethreaded.. it wouldn't sew at all. It won't pick up the bobbin thread, I have tried everything. New bobbin, new bobbin case.. so far nothing is working. I have only used it for about 2 weeks. Now it looks like I need to take it in to have it fixed?!
