Singer  Superb Sewing Machine

I had this machine for less than 1 month and should have returned immediately. Very loud, Missed stitches, bobbin case broke, needle threader misaligned, thickness adjustment under machine... Sent out for repair under the warranty and parts not available and needed to be to send me a voucher for the replacement - Needless to say NO MORE SINGER's for me. Poor was the lowest rating I could give. Worst than poor

I have been sewing for many years. Recently my machine broke and, in a pinch, I decided to give this lower end model a try. Bad idea, indeed. It cannot even push through two piece of medium weight material; the motor has very little power. If you are looking for a simple machine with lots of goodies but will only be working with light-weight material, it's good. Anything heavier than light, steer clear of this machine.

Singer Superb Sewing Machine is the best quality and fair priced item I have found. Not so complicated that a novice couldn't run it. Light weight and easy to store. Computer is simple to understand and the instructions are easy to follow.

When buying a Singer I expected quality but they have gone beyond the reqular quality with the Superb Sewing Machine. It is so easy to set up and use. The included DVD makes it easy to get started and does a great job of showcasing all of the extended features on this machine. We bought it as a gift for someone with little sewing experience and he is already working it with great ease. The LCD screen is easy to view and the stitch length/width features are so nice. Wish I would have had it this easy when we were learning. There is a large selection of special stitches and the alphabet library makes monograms a cinch. The accessories included were a great bonus. Love this machine and will have to get another for my own use.

I love my new sewing machine. I have been sewing for fun for about 15 years and I decided to upgrade to an electronic sewing machine. I like not having to use the foot pedal. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish the light was bringhter.  It does seem a bit dim.

So far it works fine.  I wanted a more simplistic machine that was capable of at least a few fancy stitches and had some of the more high end capabilities.  I have a much more expensive Elna which is in the shop and is so sensitive.  I am hoping that this is my workhorse machine.  I made a Halloween costume on it without any problems right out of the box.  Threads easy and winds bobbins well.  That's most important to me. I have so much trouble with those duties in most machines.

This machine is junk. I immediately had to start taping the cover for the bobbin holder on because it kept popping off. Also, every bobbin I tried to wind came out like a rat's nest (except for one). The thread tension cannot be set to anything lower than a 9 in order for the upper thread to sew properly. The darning foot doesn't fit properly when screwed to the rod so it becomes loose right away and eventually falls off. This is the condition the machine was in when I pulled it out of the box for the first time. I'm sorry, but for $424.00, that's just not acceptable.
