It really is simple!
Home Ec sewing class was over fifty years ago, but this machine is so sensible it all came back. I love it. It works, stitch variety is sufficient for my purposes - and easy to change, small footprint, light enough that it really is portable. I'm so glad I bought this machine after all those years of thinking I'd forgotten how to sew.

Very nice replacement
After 40+ years my other Singer sewing machine gave up for good (broken gear). This replacement is just what I needed: simple, easy to set up and learn to run. I never had a threader before and like it a lot. Still need to find out more about the finer points of the settings and make my foot adjust to the different foot speed control. So far - less than a week after purchase - I'm happy with it.

This Singer is simple, easy to set up, easy to use. It has the same metal construction on the inside as the classic Singers. Easy to use the settings, great for a beginner, or for just those occasional projects. Couldn't be happier.
