A great price and an exceptional product.
I chose this dishwasher because it had the features my husband insisted on, (stainless steel tub and no wire racks) but still fell into a price range we could afford (after the sale and extra discount for using my sears card). I think it is kind of silly that all the new dishwashers now have a filter that has to be cleaned rather than a built in disposal....and it is called the "latest technology". Is this motivated by environmental concerns? Just trying to get it quieter? I don't care much about the environmental stuff and I would rather deal with a little more noise than deal with extra cleaning chores. It does run very quietly, and the dishes are clean, except for one time I had some rinse residue, but I think it is because I blocked the soap dispenser with a cookie sheet.

Almost as good as that 1 yr warrenty
I owned this for about 18 months. It gets little use and still looks new and shiny. It started acting funny about 9 months ago with the buttons not responding too quickly. It stopped working this week. we got a repair guy in from sears and he said all these machines use a similar controller that has humidity problems with the circuit board. It cost $275 and he said we should expect to replace the board at least 4 times in 10 years. I think thats the definition of poor quality.

DON'T LEAVE SEARS WITHOUT IT!
When we purchased this because it matched the range and refrigerator we were buying, I thought, o.k. - it's just a dishwasher. I have never been more pleased with a dishwasher. You can delay a wash, because running a dishwasher in the middle of the night is cheaper. What a brilliant idea. And attractive to boot. My dishes have never been cleaner.

A Great Dishwasher
I bought this dishwasher to replace a 14 year old one. I couldn't be happier. It is extremely quiet -- so quiet that I have to go next to it and listen to make sure it is on! I took the time to read the manual before using it for the first time (which I think is very important), followed the directions for stacking the dishes and flatware, used the washing products they supplied, encountered absolutely no problems and the dishes came out sparkling clean. It is extremely easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Installation Nightmare!
I have been a handy man for over 30 years, installed many dishwashers, even built several homes, footer to roof. Never, had I such a problem with installation with a simple dishwasher. The "clips" your suppose to use to attach dishwasher to cabinets simply do not work. I spend 7 hours trying to get the clips to work before giving up and improvising my own way to attach the dishwasher. They should make their so called "engineers" install one of these before putting these on the market. I'll never own another Kenmore product! That being said, it is quiet....
