Despite its design I am loving it! December 30, 2009
I was all prepared, based on prior reviews, to hate this machine. And I did, at first! However, despite its design flaws I am now loving it. The smaller bottom drawer actually holds more dishes, due to its configuration. However it is almost to the floor and not convenient to load and especially to unload. I do love the fact that I can be running one and still filling the other, however. For whatever reason I have to have it set on all kinds of special features in order to get clean dishes but they are coming out clean now. For awkward size items it is not so good, large cutting boards do not fit in at all. Glassware is a nightmare to figure out how to load as well. However, I am no longer washing by hand and that is a definite plus!

This dishwasher came with the new house I bought and I can't tell you anything good about it except the way it looks! It takes 3+ hours to run through a cycle, and then the dishes aren't clean or dry. Really, butter is sometimes still on knives! After reading the manual, I found out that you should run the hot water before starting the machine. I do this now which cut the run time down from 4+hrs. There are a few zones that do not get much water, so glassware or silverware along the edge of the drawer don't get clean. Anything on the "shelf" never gets clean. My family of 3 uses a lot of glassware and bowls. One drawer will hold maybe 4 bowls and 5 glasses/coffee cups. Forget about pots and pans--they won't fit. I find I am spending way too much time with dishes and can't wait to replace this thing!

Cons:
oversize plates & platters won't fitThis is by far the worst dishwasher you could ever buy. How can you design a dishwasher that will not even hold a standard size plate.
It does not clean, half the time it does not drain. I have had sears to my house 5 times and it still does not work, and I am on my 5th unit.
Sear did send me a check for $1400.00 to cover the repair of my 200 year old 16" wide wood floor planks when it leaked all over the floor when we were gone for the weekend, but they will not replace the system that does not work.

Does not clean your dishes!! You literally have to clean them before you put them in. I had a service guy come out and he tried to tell me to run my sink water so it gets hot first! I have never heard of that before. The closed soap dispenser sometimes gets stuck as well, which the svc guy said everything is fine. This is the most expensive pile of junk I have ever purchased.
