A decent machine -- especially on close-out. February 26, 2010
Compared to the elderly (12 years and change) machine this replaced, it's much quieter, much prettier, somewhat better arranged spacewise and it does a good job at cleaning what you put in there, although I might recommend that you rinse and brush off the really difficult stuff (that pan you burned pork chops in, that glass you used for your daily Metamucil...), unless you like soaking and re-washing those items.
Haven't had to use the stemware holders on the top shelf but the flatware holders sure could use some covers for stuff the water pressure will blow out (I'm using a holder from our old machine). The Sterilize setting is much appreciated by The Spouse That Worries. The Auto setting that determines just how long it'll be washing, rinsing and drying according to just how dirty it determines the load is might be a bit confusing until you read the owners manual, but then it makes good sense and cuts down on the guessing games.
Gotta mention again just how quiet this model is. Our old machine could be heard all over the main floor of the house, whereas this one is so quiet I confused it with the hum made by the compressor on our bar fridge. Also gotta mention that it looks absolutely fabulous in stainless -- we've gone full-stainless in our kitchen.
Did I mention that on close-out it was a terrific buy? It was only $300. What a deal.

HORRIBLY bad and not worth it even for the mere $300 I paid! February 12, 2010
We purchased this item on SUPER sale. I was a little concerned because I couldn't find ANY reviews on the internet: boy I wish I had! Our last dishwasher was a Frigidaire and I swore I would NEVER buy that brand again, but for $300 stainless- how could I pass it up!? Ugh. It's ****. I knew it lacked ANY and ALL of the features we wanted, like a basket on the door, racks that adjusted, etc... but so long as it cleaned dishes, as dishwashers are meant to do, that's all I really needed. Well it doesn't clean, at ALL. I have washed silverware and glasses THREE times on the sanitize cycle, the longest and most powerful one, and they STILL look gross! And if you wash pots on the bottom rack, lord help you if you have stemware on the top. It got caked up on them when I went to take them out. It doesn't wash my silverware, my cups...nothing! Yeah it's only $300 on sale, but what good is a dishwasher that doesn't wash, even if it is cheap! Hope I can save you the trouble with this review -Jenn

frigidaire Galler dishwasher--nice but... July 25, 2011

Pros:
Cheap, pretty,QuietThis is a nice dishwasher but it stopped draining about 1.5 years after purchase (and soon after we didn't renew the warranty). Had to get a repairman out and it turned out that the problem was the motherboard--basically an electronics problem, so the whole motherboard had to be replaced. $265. I don't think this is a Frigidaire issue in the sense that most dishwashers are now made with so much electronics that things just go wrong, but I would strongly recommend buying a warranty. Otherwise, the inside set up in good and the controls are fairly intuitive. I have also noticed that because the silverware tray is in the front, if you put too much silverware in the portion that is directly in front of the little door that is supposed to open to let the detergent out, it simply won't open. It would be nice if you didn't have to go through the entire cycle only to open it and find out that nothing go washed because the detergent didn't get out (I've had this issue with other dishwashers, as well). Again, I don't know if any dishwasher does that but it should be something they consider. Otherwise, very quiet but as with all of the new high efficiency washers, takes over an hour to get stuff washed (unless you just do a simple rinse). I'm having a hard time deciding whether I would buy it again or recommend it only because of the broken motherboard issue. If that hadn't happened, I would say yes. It does clean well, however.

on budget, so bought this product, energy star, inner design is also ok. like the silver/black color which matches my kitchen. this product works fine, washes dishes clean and quietly. had it for more than half a year, so far so good, though not using it daily.

Haven't seen any yetI purchased this dishwasher actually from a different company. I did get it a little cheaper but one thing I have to say, installation was the norm, they can make a computer but can't put all the pieces in the back for easy access? Either way, it is extremely quite, I like the idea that you can clean the top rack only. This is a great bonus during summer months. I've yet to see the cleaning capability but I'm sure it will be just fine. My Kenmore, died after 3 years, it was cost prohibited to fix it. So, therefore we purchased a new one. I don't know if this will last considering the cost, but Frigidaire has a reputable name and feel they will stand behind their product.

Bought this from Sears.com on sale at the end of January. They canceled my order w/o notice and would not right their wrong, but my local store stepped up to the plate and ordered for the same price including the $25 off $300 coupon! Kudos to them, and boo to Sears.com as their best solution was 10% off regular price.
Install was a snap! The only hitch was some slight sanding needed to have the top of the door to close w/o scraping, but that's a cabinetry issue, not the models.
Have had it installed for two weeks now and about 10 loads through it, and other than the occasional not totally drying some of the tops of inverted drinking cups, it works like a champ! The cleaning job is very thorough, and can't really knock the left over water as it is on the tops of overturned glasses that catch the water. (and at least that water is clean as our old dishwasher, which did that constantly, the water had lots of particles in it...)
The look and finish of the front door is clean and streamlined. The only thing that I had to figure out by trial an error is the delay timer, which ends up being as straightforward as selecting the washing settings and then toggling until the number of hours delay and that's it. I expected to have to do that and then hit start, but that's not the case.
As with all newer models, the trade off for quietness is a longer cycling time. But with the delay timer, washing them at night is the easy fix for that and again am very happy with the cleaning results of this unit, which at a cost of two seventy-five, it was a very good deal.
