Kenmore  24'' Self-Clean Wall Oven

very poor oven,not what one would expect from Sears

This oven has only been in place for a few weeks, but so far I have no complaints. It has all the basic features, it looks great, fires right up, and it was easy to install. I liked the fact that the gas pressure regulator was installed behind the sheet metal - so it was flush with the bottom. One helpful comment to other buyers: The self-cleaning ovens have thicker side walls for insulation so the interior is smaller than the same oven without the self cleaning feature.The unit went in quickly and smoothly, all the parts were there, and I got a great coupon-deal from Sears.

I had to go with a 24" wall oven because of the existing space in my kitchen. Also, because of a limited budget, I chose the cheapest which was still $1,000.00. I do not like how the heating element goes from the top of the oven, down the center back of the oven. My old oven did not have the heating element exposed. This oven has an even smaller inside than my old oven and I can not use any of my current baking sheets without hitting the heating element. I am lucky my 13x9 inch pan fits.

The oven it's self works good(heats up properly/self clean). Wish I had the space for a bigger wall oven, this is small and needs smaller pans.The only thing that I had a problem was w/ the heat shield at top. Where it was soddered if fell off, in the first month luckily had a warranty. They came and fixed it , took 2 visits but it's fixed.

While the is a great oven, cooking wise. The lid drawer is smaller, lot of wasted space. And the cooking space is smaller, cause of the heating element in the back. Plus there was no broiler pan. Contact Kenmore they dont respond back.

The Kenmore wall oven- that we got at 1/2 price is just wonderful! It was easy to install and is so quiet and bakes so evenly. The preheat is so quick you don't have to wait any time at all! Love it!

Last wk had this oven installed...no where can you see 24" ovens as no stores stock them, so as consumers we are at the mercy of on line specs...When oven installed, surprised to see how small interior is. The specs as listed on line as from the outside edges but in actuality the height is 2 1/2" less due to the broiler mechanism hanging down into the interior...the depth is 3" less due to the super dooper door that extends into the interior...the width is 1" less due to the protrusions extending into the oven to hold the oven racks. Consumers need to beware that measurements are not what you would expect!! Good outcome as I had a replacement oven installed today...a 24" MANUAL Kenmore oven which is much closer to on line specs Also, oven drawer on self-clean oven is very flimsey and only about 10-12" wide, hardly holds anything...also no broiler pan included so would have to purchase separately if you wanted to broil. Would NOT recommend the self clean model at all!!

This is one of the worse products ever manufactured. I have had two out of the box Kenmore 24" in-wall gas ovens, model #3055, color black installed in my home. Within days of being installed both developed gas leaks filling my home with the flammable liquid vapor. THANK GOD I did not use the produce before the gas leak occurred. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM! HAZARDOUS!
