GE  Café™ Series 30'' Freestanding Gas Range w/ Double Convection Oven - Stainless Steel

We just remodeled our kitchen and went way over what we wanted to spend. We purchased all high end products. When it came to picking appliances I was extremely overwhelmed but was impressed with the reviews of your product. When I saw them in the store I was so excited that they would look great in my kitchen. I compared them with all the other expensive lines. And, I am very happy with the appliances I bought from you. The cooking temp is always even the look is perfect for my kitchen. I am a gourmet cook and was very nervous, but, you guys came through!!! Thanks

Dont like the size of the small burners. One should be extra small for small pots. The grates are so heavy that scratching the surface of the stove is inevitable when cleaning after use. Calibrating top oven still uses oldest method by simply turning the control valve handle and retightening the screws.Feel this oven is highly overpriced.

I am an above average, ambitious cook/baker and I absolutely love this range. It's everything I could ever want, offering two ovens in one and five exceptionally great burners for the small kitchen it's in. The long one in the center puts a burner where I never had one on any range I ever owned before and is great for grilling or using some of my oblong lidded pots for cooking large stove,top meals. The ovens cook remarkably well for someone like me who is picky how baking turns out. This range is high tech and offers a big bang for it's price range. Check out the demos online and see for yourself. That's how I chose it over others. It wins hands down. If I had nay complaint it would be that I wish the front control panel lit up so I could see the controls better but it's completely tolerable compared to what I get out of this stove. I'm thrilled.

Exceptionally well equipped stove. More than adequate burner Btu's and spacing allows for a variety of cooking pots/pans/skillets on top. The two ovens are just the right size! The smaller top oven is more than large enough to easily fit two large casseroles. The bottom oven is large capacity and has so many high-end features normally found on much costlier models. Having the smaller oven on top makes so much sense - as this is the one you would use more frequently, while the larger oven on the bottom is great when entertaining guests.

I would recommend this range to a friend. The range was very easy to use and I like the contol panel on the front of the range. I did not like reaching over hot burners to adjust time and temp. Installation of this range upgraded the looks and functionality of my kitchen.

This range is probably one of the best looking I've seen (and I have seen a lot). It looks fantastic in my kitchen. The stove is great, it heats and cooks really well. The griddle is a nice to have as well. The oven, however, I have had a few issues. The bottom oven seems to do great, but the top one the temperature settings seem to be off. For example, if an item calls for 375 degrees for 20 minutes to cook, it is not cooked in that time period unless I turn it up to right at 400 degrees. Overall, I really love this range, I just need to get use to how the top oven cooks.

Just got my GE Cafe and we all love it! AND it looks fabulous in my kitchen. First night I cooked in both ovens and on the elements....turned out great! So,Happy with it!

What better time to write a review that when you're exhausted, out of patience and have just ruined another perfectly good load of ingredients on a failed attempt in this high priced "all that" range? It's obvious after my tried and true recipes flop time and again that the temperature on both ovens is waaay out of line. I read the "biscuit test" with disbelief and disdain....really? If the biscuits aren't done, you need to calibrate? No kidding, Captain Obvious? How about you calibrate the darn thing in the factory before shipping it out? Grrr...So we find how to recalibrate, ok. Glad to find handy steps on how to do that. However, there's NO clue as to how to arrive at a true temperature other than the aforementioned "biscuit test". There's a friendly warning NOT to use a "grocery store" oven thermometer. What should I use GEnius? My HAND? Oh I know... I can bake 15 cans of biscuits adding 5 degrees to each batch times two ovens...yeah, I'll get right on that. Grrr...

The dual oven Slide In GE Cafe I just bought is a wonder. The burners have amazing control, the center grill does a wonderful job on pancakes, etc. The Dual Ovens are a dream for a person like myself that cooks and bakes constantly. I have never had a convection oven before, and am not sure how I lived without it. Highly recommended and worth the price....the stove is expensive, but so worth it!

I notice the control knobs get hot, if the upper oven is cooking at tempatures of 400 degrees and higher. This does not happen when using the lower oven.Overall, I am very happy with my range.
