Best Buy for the Buck
After doing extensive research on all the slide-in rages in this price range we decided to buy this one.
Pros:
1. The range has no plastic parts except for the knobs and the oven control buttons. Most of the other ranges I looked at had a plastic control panel face plate and plastic oven door handle. I read lot complaints about the plastic face plate cracking or melting from a hot pan getting to close to it.
2. I was very surprised how quickly the heating elements could bring water to a boil.
3. The AccuBake oven is amazing. We could cook two pizzas at once and they both came out perfect.
4. I like that the glass top has metal surrounding it. This keeps spills from going over and under the range and it also keeps you from accidently pushing a hot pan on to the countertop.
Cons:
1. If you have the extra money I would buy the upgraded Whirlpool model GY399LXUQ, with the 12 burner. With glass cook tops you can only use pans one inch larger then the burner. I have found it very difficult to only use a 10 pan. The upgraded model also includes Hidden bake elements, which make cleaning the oven very convenient.
2. Just so you are aware The oven door looks like it does not close flush. We called Whirlpool service and they said this normal. It allows some heat to escape so the oven door does not over heat. I don't really buy this answer but the door does close flush when the lock is engaged, so they might be right.
3. I also don't like that the timer only buzzes once. My old oven would keep beeping until I turned it off.

$1200.00 piece of junk
We had a still working 45 year old stove, when we re-did our kitchen and decided to splurg on this $1200 stove thinking it would be the last stove we ever needed. Well after 22 months of service the cojmputer keyboard stopped working in it, so it was a nice doorstop. With service and parts they want nearly $400 to repair it. They just don't build things with any quality anylonger, and probably could never get 45 years out of a stove today. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK.

This product has really great performance.
The cooktop is simple, but I find it meets all my needs and the burner sizes fit all my pans. The oven bakes great, so much better than what I was used to. The overall styling looks bulky because of the uptilted control panel. But when I'm using it, I love it, no bending over. I am pleased with this product. And the quality and performance of the oven, in particular, surpasses my expectations.

after 2 months, the newness wore off and now it just fits in and works. Does the job every night for dinner, handled holiday baking well and easy to keep clean. Smooth top is nice for added countertop too!

Great features, I didn't know how bad my previous range was until I got this one. Range top cleans beautifully. Baking is a breeze I think I had poor temperature maintenance with old range. Everything I bake or roast seems to come out better in this new one. Love this range!! Excellent range , very happy. Priced right too.

Major upgrade!
We had a very old stove prior to purchasing this one, but we are very pleased with the quality and the design. I was hesitant about the ceramic cooktop cleaning, but we purchased the suggested cleaner at a local hardware store and it works perfectly. Defnitely recommend!

Ease of use with sleek design
The purchase of our new 30-inch Self-Cleaning Slide-In Electric Range has made cooking simple, clean up easy and operation of this range a snap. I haven't printed the online directions because it is so simple to figure out the settings, it has not been necessary. It is an intuitive product. Cleaning the surface, both the cook top and the dial/digital area is easy and with the brushed finish, every touch doesn't show up. This range has been far more than I thought it would be - we are very pleased with our purchase!

Looks great and operates wonderful
This range is great!! Fits well in my newly remodeled kitchen, very modern. The only issue I have is that when you have a boil over, it is very hard to clean the top surface. I am unable to get it completely clean, it looks as if it is stained. Other than that, I really like the options and quality. I love the cook, hold, and delay options! :)
