Enjoy the fastest, most flexible surface cooking available - induction delivers faster, more responsive cooking with near instantaneous temperature changes. It works by producing a magnetic field which heats the pan instead of the cooktop making spills much easier to clean-up off the cool cooktop surface
Cook multiple dishes at once - large 4.2 cu. ft. self-clean oven for great cooking capacity
Gain more control over your cooktop - Electronic Surface Element Controls (ESEC) allow each element to go from the lowest of simmer settings to highest of power settings and since the controls are digital the exact setting can be duplicated anytime
Get the desired degree of doneness every time - convenient Temperature Probe takes the guesswork out of cooking. Just set the oven temperature to the required setting and insert the probe into the roast

Love just about everything except for the self-clean. After baking a few things and roasting a turkey in our new oven we thought we would try the self-clean cycle. We chose the 2 hr light clean as it did not really look dirty -just some grease spatters from the turkey. Well we should have hand cleaned it first as now we have burnt on spatter all over the new glass door and down one side of the oven. My husband is trying to scrub it off now and says it is really burnt on. What a disappointment!!! We were pretty happy with everything- how efficient it is, how much faster everything cooks, the precision of the induction controls, how easy the top is to clean... Not very energy efficient if one has to run the 3 or 4 hour cleaning cycle to clean up a few grease spatters, and certainly not good for the cook if you have to hand clean everything first or spend hours scrubbing the glass clean.

This appliance is noisy!!! As soon as you turn the induction burners on the fan comes on and blows cold are out the front of the range. Fine for the summer but not on those cold winter days in Colorado. While the oven is on the fan comes on too even if it's not on convection and stays on until the oven is completely cooled off. The fan is as loud as a bathroom fan!! Had I had known this I would not have bought the appliance.

Loves to cook!We bought our home a little over a year ago. It was a fixer-upper and the first project we excitedly tackled was the kitchen. I bought this range (in May of 2010), because Kenmore has always been the best, in my opinion. I loved so much about this range. It had the best self-clean option I've ever used (literally, the oven is cleaned spotless). I loved the rapid boil aspect of induction style cooking and I loved that induction style cooking is not supposed to heat up the kitchen as much as other types (so I was told, anyway). After some time, I noticed the range was noisy (fan is always on) and the oven seems to take a very long time to heat up, but that just wasn't enough to cause me to complain. Then I began to notice that my kitchen would get very hot when I cooked, but the house was new to us and we had this great induction cooktop that doesn't heat up a kitchen, so I thought perhaps it was the house. Next, we installed a ceiling fan, had the air conditioning checked, etc. Nothing helped. We soon realized it was the oven that was heating up my kitchen to extreme misery - and I mean that literally. I have never had this happen and I've been cooking for almost 30 years! The oven venting system is out of the front and it blows very hot air, like a heater, constantly. We had a record breaking winter this past February and my kitchen was still hot! I've been told not to use the oven during Summer months. I live in south Texas, Summer lasts 7 months of the year, so that's not an option. It's very sad to me that the negatives of this range outweigh the positives. I have decided to sell this range and go for a dual-fuel of another brand.
home ownerWe've had this beauty for about 6 weeks now and are in love with it. Looks fantastic and cooks like a dream. Absolute predictability and instant response in the cooktop controls, and I've never had such even browning results from an oven. In response to some other reviews, we don't find it hard to clean at all - a quick wipe with a damp sponge and a followup with a piece of flannel is fine, and the included cream cleaner will really get it looking absolutely new. Yes, the controls beep when you wipe the sponge over them, but then you just press the "off" button to cancel whatever you just turned on accidentally. Or read the manual to find out how to lock out the controls but this thing is so easy and intuitive to use I haven't even looked at it. I also don't feel like the oven takes very long to preheat, it's certainly faster than my previous one, and it beeps to let you know when it's up to temperature. We of course had to buy new cookware. At first I was resigned to spending $1,000 on ScanPan from Denmark, but then we went to ****** and found a really well-made Food Network set (made by Calphalon I think) for $300, which we subsequently augmented with an inexpensive Emeril tall pasta pot from Bed Bath. Got a nice tea kettle at Bed Bath too. Just take a magnet with you when you go shopping. The only thing I don't like about it, and this is nit-picking, is that I really wish the display was dimmable. It's pretty bright at night and I don't really want my kitchen to look like a 767 cockpit. The cooling fan(s) for the electronics are a bit annoying since they run for a while after you turn off a heating element. If you leave a pot full of hot food on them they run forever, but if you remove the pots they shut off after about five minutes. They're not really loud in any case and we're getting used to it. We haven't experienced any sort of buzz or hum from our cookware during cooking. We are extremely happy with this high-quality product and have had no problems with it at all. The shopping experience was a breeze, delivery was prompt, friendly and on schedule, and installation went smoothly. Not an inexpensive range but worth every penny to us.
