    I love this beautiful, sleak and clean stove February 03, 2011

    Many people I have heard say these get so dirty that it gets baked on. I'm and Italian cook and I have things all over the stove. I went from a gas stove to this ceramic one. It is GREAT. I have seen other people with these and I see why theirs are no longer clean. They do not clean it with the recommended cleaner or clean it regularly. One small bottle comes with it and you should clean it at least once a week with this cleanser AND every time you spill food on it. Also you should probably not use certain pots and pans like cast iron. They can scratch really bad. The manual does talk and recommend what types are best and warns you of what they can do to the ceramic top . My sister's is scratched and she told me she never read the manual. She uses all cast iron. Go figure, that's my sister. Also if the pans have crud on the bottoms it tends to transfer, but clean both and your okay. I recommend Calphalon CS non-stick. It has everything for everyone. The even heating of aluminum, the non-stick for ease and stainless steel for easy cleaning. They have a lifetime warranty if you follow the directions. These are even dishwasher safe and is allowed under the warranty, but we all know they won't last as long if you use the dishwasher. I just found out that using any aerosol, like Pam does void that warranty because it eats away the non-stick coating. I read the fine print :) You should buy the right stove for how you cook. I always buy extended warranties on my appliances for the first few years. I tend to drop things and I do worry that I will do that and shatter my cooking top.

    Very Disapointed ! October 17, 2009

    I was so excited to get my range installed. I loved the look. It is so clean looking. BUT after one year of use I began getting dark places on the burners. I contacted my local Sears where I made the purchase and  unfortunatly I just missed the one year warranty. It has now been almost 2 years and it is visibly getting worse and I can honestly say I am embarrassed to have this appliance in my kitchen. I have taken the greatest care possible in keeping it clean but I do actually cook and I expected the product to be more durable. I would not recommend this product if you intent to use it.
