Kenmore  30'' Self Clean Slide-In Electric Range w/ Ceramic Smoothtop Cooktop

Had this for about two weeks now and it works great and looks awesome

Just got my new Electric range with ceramic smoothtop cooktop. It is beautiful and matches my other appliances. Easy to clean and love the new smoothtop. So happy to get rid of my 18 year old Kenmore with the coil elements. Hope this one lasts as long as my other Kenmore.

Bought this stove because I liked the look of a slide in with granite counter tops. It looks beautiful with the granite and it's great that crumbs don't go between the stove and cabinets. Fan does come on a lot, but it is not loud or annoying to us. The bottom drawer is very cheaply made for the price of this stove.

It was hard to install - we were replacing an old stove. The measurements didn't fit and had to cut countertop. The other thing is that the descriptions imprinted under the range dials are missing on one side - weird and a little troubling.

If you are considering this range:1) The pre-heating chime, does not indicate that the oven has reached your temp setting. For bakers, plan on purchasing a separate oven thermometer. 2) There are two types of ovens for this range, standard with an exposed bottom coil and another with a metal panel which covers the element, called hidden bake. Hidden bake takes longer to come to temperature, = higher energy costs to operate. For either model, set the timer for 15min, ignore the preheat chime, and check your own independent oven thermometer at 15 min, before putting anything in to bake 3) If that metal panel over the element slips out of the slots in the back, it will warp, and you will need to push it down and back into the slots in the back of the range. 4) think hard about the black top. I spend more time, surface cleaner and paper towels than with my GE gray ceramic cook top. And you can trust the pre-heat chime.

love the looks and easy use of this stove, looks great wtih my other black appliances and new granite counter tops! Love it!!

When researching which oven to put in my kitchen I was limited both to the style (slide-in) and price. I am used to a gas stove but with the limitations of my kitchen I needed an electric one. I was hesitant about this unit due to all of the negative reviews. But like all other products in this world, only those who have had bad experiences write a review. With that said, I have owned this unit for a little over 3 months and could not be more happy with it. It heats fast, cooks even, and looks GREAT with my Kenmore Stainless Steel fridge and other stainless appliances. The bottom drawer is thin like stated in other reviews but that is not a deal breaker in my opinion. A littler extra care in not slamming or overloading will allow this unit to stay beautiful.The black ceramic cook top is beautiful and is easy to clean with the right resources. A little knowledge and patience in the care of the unit will make it last awhile.

I almost didn't buy this stove because of the reviews about the fan- but we had to have a slide in range and every version has a fan of some kind. We just had it delivered and the first thing I did was turn on the oven to test the fan I expected to be terribly loud and annoying, and it's nothing! It blows air out but is very quiet and shuts off as soon as the oven cools down. I am so glad I didn't change my mind based on the other reviews. It heats quickly, looks gorgeous, and so far seems to be fantastic. It also came with a little pouch of stainless steel polish and cleaner that works wonders on preventing finger prints.

Burners: Work great! They heat-up very quickly and are of usable sizes. Controls: Are large and easy to use. Oven: Cooks slightly unevenly. Ex: frozen pizza -- 80% of crust was golden brown other 20% was "white". Power cord: Argh! Store had but one in stock (wrong # of prongs); had to go to **********. After paying over a grand for a stove, we had to make a special trip to another store and spend another $25. The drawer: Storage/warming/broiler...whatever it's call, it's flimsy -- very flimsy. It easily comes off track (and is difficult to get back on the tracks). It's pretty much a waste of metal. The overall fit and finish of this thousand dollar plus range is poor -- including, but not limited to excessively lareg gaps between the sides and front panels (and that piece of junk drawer). The salesperson pulled-up this web site to show us the reviews. Unfortunately, she showed us the wrong range -- it had put two reviews, so we didn't have much to go on.

Not sure I received the correct drawer with the stove. Other than that I love the stove.
