    Kenmore Elite Home Run November 08, 2010

    I was very sad to move and have to leave my Electrolux Double Oven in my old home.  We could not simply afford another, so we purchased a Kenmore Elite Double Oven at nearly half the price (great sale).  To my surprise, it was not a compromise at all.  I love my oven. It has all the outstanding features of my Electrolux ie. temperature probe, Convection option, crocpot feature and lots more room.  For a family of seven, we could not have chosen a better oven.  I simply love it.

    30 additional minutes after preheat so it will bake correctly!!! January 05, 2011

    We purchased our double ovens in November of 2009 and was installed in Feb of 2010. In June 2010, Sears came out and had to replace the control panel. The last part of Dec 2010, I started having problems with the control panel again. When I called Sears to get this item repair they said it wasn't covered under warranty but they would love to sell me an extended warranty. Maybe I just bought a lemon. Also, the repair person told me that these ovens have to be preheated an additional 30 minutes after the oven shows its preheated for it to bake correctly. Just the way the new models are. Is that really considered energy efficient. Wish I had never bought this brand.

    Cons:
    self clean cycle

    Had oven for more than 6 months. Cooks very well and seems to operate very well until the self clean cycle was used. Oven was not very dirty but went ahead and started the self clean. The oven appeared to operate normally during this cycle and oven was cleaned. But after that could not get oven to come up in temperature. WTF. So called home repair and guy came and analyzed problem. apparently the oven has a self protect sensor that shuts off oven in case temperature is too high. Well all i did was run the self clean. Can you fix this? Umm! I will go into the oven and reset the sensor. WTF! you not going to replace sensor? If this happens again give us a call. WTF! I payed big Bucks for this BS!

    The oven is good, and price is okay also. I like it.

    The small thing that can be more better if Sears could told us about power line length as we purchased it, or provide a choice to select length of power line. As oven arrived, we find power line is not long enough to connect to power
