    Wifey loves her Kenmore Single Electric Wall Oven December 23, 2010

    Wonderful oven! Works like it should, has neat rack handles for EZ pull-out, has largest window of the ovens we considered and was fairly priced. Actually bought the same product in stainless but am posting here since all the stainless reviews are very positive; but 1 poor review, by some person nicknamed kenmoresux who had a fuse trip (might check your house wiring), didn't seem fair to this oven (& veritable company). We also bought this oven because it is heavy (~140 lbs) compared to a competitor's 87 pounder. I'm all for new technology but when it comes to a hot oven, I want a thick walled stout one; not a space age thin walled one that won't last.

    DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN February 21, 2011

    I turned it on and knew immediately I could not keep this oven because the fan comes on and sounds like a vent hood. There is no way to turn it off. I have had two other friends come over to show them the oven, and as soon as they turn the oven on, they frown and turn it off again immediately. One friend said, simply, "No. Oh, no." The other said, "Is this a low-end model?" I have not even used it because the noise is so obnoxious. Sears repair was here today and the repair man said the fan is a circular fan and is toward the front (behind the controls). The fan on this oven used to be rectangular and toward the back. We will be returning this for a different oven. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN. Jan Gunter

    i see alot of complaints how ever i think it is a great oven it has lots of space cooks well love that its self cleaning. but after living 2 yrs with out one i guess its hard to see falt. it gets the job done and i can feed my family. i love my stove and everyone that i entertain say they like it too are want one

    My wall oven died the week before Thanksgiving and of course, we had a large family dinner planned. I went on sears website, saw this on sale, ordered it, picked it up at the store and we installed easily. It works great, has all the features we need and i know I can depend on Kenmore!

    We brought Kenmore again because it is reliable, and lasts forever. It cooks everything with a even baking, and the self cleaning works really well but make sure the windows are wide open because the fumes can get a bit much. But so worth it for how clean it is at the end.

    Do not purchase.  This is part of Kenmore's Energy Saving line and it does that, at the cost of under-cooked food and doubled cooking times.

    First of all, my old oven took 15 minutes to preheat, this one takes about 25 minutes.  To fully cook food, you have to overcook it in this oven.  I haven't found a single thing I normally cooked before this oven that actually cooks now according to package instructions.  For example, there is a brand of raw broccoli stuffed chicken we like, and in our old oven this took 40 minutes to cook.  Now to get it to the proper temperature inside, it has to cook for 70 minutes, nearly doubling the cooking time and also making the outside inedible while the inside is just barely cooked.   I tried to make brownies two days ago.  Normal cooking time according to package: 40 minutes; I had to cook them for 60 and they still weren't done.  The edges of the brownies were too hard to eat, and the center of them was as gooey as frosting.

    Sears technicians have double checked the install and the verdict was: installed properly, functioning properly.  I'm sorry Sears, but an oven that does NOT cook food according to the label at sea-level is NOT working properly. Sears has offered NO customer satisfaction alternatives.

    I will never purchase another Kenmore product because of this oven, that's how much of a headache it gives me at mealtimes.  I haven't had a decent meal SINCE I purchased this oven 2 months ago.  This household regrets the purchase and will NOT be purchasing another Kenmore item OR through Sears for their shoddy salesmanship and customer service.
