Very stylish and a great look compared to standard freestanding ranges. It is quite difficult to find a freestanding range that has all of the controls located on the front panel - this one does. Cooking has been flawless. The automatic convection calculation is a great feature. Electronics were a bit of a concern as the learing curve can be difficult on the unknown - NOT the case. the display panel "asks" the question and lists the next input. Quite simple and did not even need to look at the manul to operate the first time.

Do not buy this range if you bake. The upper element (broil) comes on to reheat the oven during baking. Ruins cakes and cookies- burns the top of large roasts (like turkey) since it is "broiling" instead of baking. The effective oven capacity is reduced by at least 1/4th if you don't want to broil too. (So no large roasts.) You would not know this unless you used the product.
I grudgingly had to buy a new range to replace a 2-yr. old LG with constant computer panel problems. I was torn between this model and a Bosch, and am so glad I bought this one. The range not only looks good, very professional feel, but it performs well, too. The warming draw heats my dinner plates perfectly. The convection conversion is a no-brainer, just answer the questions the range asks, and voila, done! The burner dials are easily accessible, and do what they say they will. You want a low simmer, put the dial on that setting, no guesswork. Needless to say, I'd never purchase an LG product again, but would not hesitate to buy Kitchen Aid. I should note, based on my previous range, I did spring for the 5-yr. protection plan, so have no worries about this range failing.
Ahh KitchenAid. I love their poducts. Buy them the first time, everytime, they last a lifetime. I am a pastry chef/baker and I needed a stove. I went looking. Sears here I come. I wanted convection and of course being a chef, I had to look at KitchenAid. I loved this stove when I saw it in the store. From the array of features, to the multi suface burners on top, to the knobs on the front and of course it was convection. I then came home to research this oven. I was very dissapointed when most people were complaining about this stove. The touch pad went out, this and that, blah, blah, blah. I was kinda dissapointed. I bought the stove anyway and love the way it performs. I bakes very fast and is very quiet. Love the touch pad on the front. Features and options galore. I really only bake in mine, but if you are a cook that uses the smooth top, then you will not be dissapointed. There are different size burners for what ever pot or pan you have. The knobs are very convinient on the front. The warming drawer seems nice too, but I do not know how much I will use that either. Really I just bake. A lot to spend just to bake, but I love KitchenAid. I have my grandmothers KitchenAid stand mixer that I use every week that is from 1967. I have two KitchenAid hand mixers that I bought and love to death. Pots, pans, bakeware, utensils, pot holders, towels I have most everything that KitchenAid makes. If a fire broke out I probably would not make it because, I would be putting all of my KitchenAid accessories into my stove and then trying to drag that out of the fire. SAVE THE KITCHENAID is what I would be doing. Anyway I love the stove. Hope other people who buy it are as happy as I am with mine.
I purchased the range because the controls were at the front. The cook doesn't have to reach over hot pans to adjust the settings. The controls are simple to use. I was able to use w/o the instruction book. I used a thermometer to check the temps and after pre-heating the oven was right on. I baked brownies using the regular baking setting and used the easy convection option for a pork chop dinner. Both were perfect. I had read the other reviews. I am not sure why they are less favorable but I did purchase the extra service policy. I had terrible luck with my last range and it was a highly recommended Maytag. I've only had this one a short time but I am impressed with it.
